Toni.. to the point of your BOY being so calm.. My recommendation to you would be to handle him as much as you possible can. When you get him home.. invite all your friends and family over to see him.. Encourage him to step up to everyone... Don't shelter him from anything.. Take him in the car outside his carrier... If he is afraid DONT shelter him.. allow him the time for fear because after a short time he will realize there is nothing to be afraid of.. Doing these things will result in you having a Grey that isn't a biter.. remember, Birds bit for only one reason.. They are afraid..

You finally get your wish to go to Africa.. You plane encounters engine trouble and begins a spiral death plunged.. You make your way to the top of the tail section with moves you saw on some James Bond movie.. Just as the plane is about to crash to the ground you jump up in the air to cushion the impact on yourself. ( yeah I know that doesn't work for real but this is a internet forum where anything is possible) You survive the crash but are LOST on a tiny island all by yourself. I wish is lived closer to the ones I love.

The only way you can overcome your Greys fear of being touched is.. well.. you guessed it.. TOUCH HIM ALOT... and everyday.. for months.. After a while you will see that touching him doesn't freak him out anymore because you trained him that touching him doesn't mean he will be eaten.. You see, they freak out for only one reason.. They are afraid they are gonna be eaten.. Plain and simple.. So, if you want to be able to touch him.. Start touching him..

I surely know this Talon.... That little bird hit the lottery when you picked him out of all the possibilities there were at that pet shop.. and it won't take long for that bird to realize that he is one lucky "keet"

Don't you feel really good when you get your baby checked out by a VET... It's such a great feeling.. A feeling that you are doing all the right things in the raising of your baby... I know it makes me feel very good.. and I am sure it made you feel wonderful too..

Yep.. it's a boy.. Look at all that blue.. and thats a good thing because in parakeets it's the boys that do all the talking.. I wish I was this little bird.. Always there for anyone that wonders into our home.. this guy is as important to this forum as anyone of us. Instead of me just writing praise after praise about this guy why don’t we let him speak first.. OK.. I was so happy last month when Dan accepted my request to head up the Off Topics Room. I thought long and hard about who might be best for that room. It wasn’t easy. That person needed to have a broad knowledge base about so many different topics.. That person needed to have the temperament of a saint. That person needed to have compassion and love for his fellow family members here.. Picking Dan to head up that room made me look good.. Because he excelled beyond expectation.. And of course.. you shouldn’t take my word for it.. Listen to what his fellow family members said about Danmcq. “Dan is knowledgeable, willing to share, fun and has a great attitude.
