Please keep us in the loop, Maggie. Hopefully the antibiotics will do its magic on whatever infection he's been battling.
Sending healing thoughts and prayers
So many women I know are battling breast cancer right now. It's disconcerting to see its significant up-tick within our society. I'm so sorry to hear that you are now facing this new journey towards achieving good health. It's a battle, but you shall be triumphant.
That's comforting to know. Initially I was wondering if he had bird poop stuck there, because he's been known to reach below the bars to grab and tear up the newsprint.
Would love to see a pic of Cosmo once he's triumphantly slayed his fears and can proudly stand on that dragon of a thing. It will be a proud moment indeed!
This deeply saddens me. Praying that they can help make him feel more comfortable. Please, please, please keep us posted. And please let him know that I will be lifting him up in prayer.
I noticed after taking his pic that he has a little divit in his beak. See that white spot? It's a little depression of sorts. I'm thinking that he may have caught his beak on something. He was messing with the dragonwood perch where it's attached to the side of the cage earlier today. Now I'm wondering if his beak somehow got pinched between it and the bars of the cage.
I thought I'd share a couple pics of Sydney taken today. He's come such a long way! I tried to take him out of his cage for his pics, but he became way too flirtatious so I had to let him decompress.
I can only speak for how it goes with my 3 greys, which is anything added to their cages is evil for around 3 days, after which time they will test things out to make certain it won't readily eat them.
Yeah, it looks like a normal molt. In the second picture you're looking at the new feather shaft coming in. I like to pinch those open for them, and they usually love the extra time that I spend preening them.
I agree that you should look into avian avenue and the FB grey forum.
There is a no wing clipping law in the UK, so not quite certain why you need to clip their wings before traveling there.
