  1. Part of my soul would fly away with mine if I tried that. I really want to fly her on heavy fishing line like I've seen other posters here. I'm too chicken.
  2. Ohh...I didn't mean to diminish the fact that he gave kisses! From a man's perspective, what's the fastest way to a man's heart, his stomach - haahaaahaa. I think Bongo has felt the love for quite a while and the great food he gets (love on a fork) just pushed him over the edge. Hey I like my wife a lot better when I come home and she feeds me, what can I say. Tonight GreycieMae flew onto the arm of the couch. I was sitting at the far end and wife laying lengthwise - GreycieMae proceeded to walk across my wife, up my arm and gave me a kiss on my cheek. I don't know if they associate the same feelings as we do but both me and the wife were tickled when she did that. These Greybie's sure have a way of wrapping us around their talons.
  3. You must make a GREAT dinner. Compliments to the chef!
  4. If you want them, then she wants them. There's no way around this Grey phenomena. I've tried.
  5. That has to be one of the cutest Grey pics I've ever seen.
  6. Somebirdy's got some serious personality there. Love those pics.
  7. Definitely looks more sure of herself on the perch, like she put herself there. That last set of pics you could tell she was propped on the perch. Next set of pics will probably be flying through the nursery
  8. You need more Felix training - cereally.
  9. Keep after those sumbeeches. We've had promises from multiple pool companies about dumping dirt. Oh, they are "always looking for places to dump dirt" but you never hear from them again. I think they get a lot of requests for dirt (look at the craigslist ads looking for free dirt) and know how to tell you what you want to hear and then disappear. I'd be interested to know if they follow through.
  10. Springtime must have been the time for baby Greys! Lots of birthdays lately. Happy birthday Bailey!!! I thought I had one of the youngest resident Greys on the site.
  11. Never heard of the 5-spice powder. We use cinnamon in thier oatmeal treat and you can tell when I forget and leave it out. I *almost* get blank stares. They do like their cinnamon.
  12. I will see if GreycieMae can put in a good word for you. I still need to get my certificate framed. I graduated from high skool, kollege and U.S. Marine Corps boot camp and nothing compares to being Felix certified trained.
  13. One of our neighbors dug a pond and they now have the neatest sounding bullfrogs in the evenings. I love listening to those guys.
  14. I've been trying to figure out a way to protect the blades on our fan as Greycie LOVES to ride it. As Talon said - she looks like a little kid riding the merry-go-round. She will only get on it when it's off and she uses her parrot-ese to get me over there and set it in motion. The problem is she loves to take a chunk out it while she's riding. I've been trying to come up with some kind of a blade sock to put on all the blades and just let her go wild on it. I also want to find some kind of rotating device. All I can think of is a disco ball motor. Greycie loves for her hanging perches to go 'round and 'round. It's the cutest thing when she sits on one I'm powering around.
  15. Woohoo Alfie! I hope you're being spoiled rotten.
  16. Seriously disturbing video. Of course people probably wouldn't agree with my riding my birds on my Townie bike either. But we're noodling along at 5-10mph, short leashed harnessed and I can flat foot at anytime (Townies are designed that way). Our biggest danger is the dogs we come across. I never trust their owners have a firm grip so we steer wide and clear unless it's a yap dog that I can kick through the uprights if needed.
  17. Have to watch this video every time it pops up. So cute. Wish my Greycie would learn to do that.
  18. Nice picture of Scooty there. Welcome to the forums, feel free to post more pics of Scooty the Cutey!
  19. We have a Caique and a Jardines (another African breed). GreycieMae can't stand the Caique and only gets slightly jealous of the Jardines however she does know how to frighten him and make him fly into windows/mirrors. My take is, they do not like sharing their hoomans with other birds. My other birds show none of the jealousy issues that she does.
  20. he must be the coolest parrot on the block with those skillz.
  21. Once again, I side with the bird here. Example: If I came up on a bag of peanut M&Ms that were ripped open, you think I would just walk by? No! I would stop, sample, assess the damage and try to rectify the situation (by eating the rest of them). That is simply what has happened in this video. I still see a cat responsible for this crime, or maybe a dog? I don't know how all this ends up at the talons of such a sweet looking bird. Seriously - I hear a yappy dog in the background. And Talon is sounding the alarm. She's doing all the right stuff and still gets the blame.
