  1. My timneh's favorite things are cardboard and plastic. I have tried numerous wooden toys and he has no interest whatsoever. As to the play stand link, Batman would probably get used to it and enjoy it. If you get it, remember it can take time (often several weeks) before they will accept new things. I remember reading on this forum that it can take up to two years for feathers to all grow fully back in after a clip.
  2. Loved the video! Timber also prefers to bathe in his water bowl. Wish I knew how their minds work!
  3. LOL Good idea on the phrase in response to his name! On the other hand, good luck getting Charlie to say ANYTHING you want him to say. Timber tends to say everything BUT what I try to teach him. And yes, I think he knows exactly what he is doing!
  4. Hi Jessi and welcome to you and Jabber Wocky! Loved the video. What a nice "pool" area Jabber has there! She is a beautiful baby. Can't wait to see more pics and videos
  5. Merry Christmas! Good luck and God bless your latest endeavor
  6. Absolute truth. I didn't understand myself until Timber came to live with me!
  7. Great to hear from you! I'm glad all is well there. Merry Christmas and God bless!
  8. My Timneh has perches available varying from 1/2 inch to 2 inches. He sleeps on a concrete perch that is about 1.5 inches in diameter. That is his choice. However, when I got him someone here on the forum told me they tend to sleep on the highest perch available. So, I put the concrete one up there to help with nail grooming and sure enough, that is the one he sleeps on.
  9. I was just thinking that I hadn't posted a pic of Timber in a long time... One of his favorite things is to sit on my arm and veg while I am on the laptop. I don't take good pictures, but his left foot (closest to my elbow) was up until the flash and he is grinding his beak.
  10. That is great news and good for "grey" time. You are making good progress!
  11. Merry Christmas! Many of you may have seen this but it not, it is worth a listen!
  12. Hello and welcome! It sounds like you are making great progress with Charlie. Good luck and God bless
  13. Beautiful scenery and video, as always! Thanks for sharing...
  14. So sorry to hear about your loss and what a horrible thing to have hanging over your head with the others. God bless!
  15. LOL I'm surprised the cat didn't want to get in on the action! Loved the video, thanks for posting
  16. What great pics! Thanks for sharing
  17. Love the pic! That's great
  18. Timber is partial to pine nuts. Grey's are individuals that way, what one likes another may not. Nutriberries are a good treat (in my opinion) but for training I would think you would need something small. I know some use sunflower seeds.
  19. LOL Glad to hear I'm not the only one with a bird that numbers eating boxes among his favorite things to do!
  20. Excellent post. Thanks greywings!
  21. That's cause for celebration! Congratulations
