  1. That's great! You are really making rapid progress toward your dream
  2. I never get tired of watching videos like this, thanks for posting!
  3. Hello and welcome reptoman I don't live in that area so can't help you there. In our area, there are some reputable breeders at the bird fairs etc. The best thing to do is do your research on the breeder. Sterling is a great resource for you. Have you considered a rehome instead of a baby? There are some great greys out there needing forever homes. Good luck and God bless!
  4. Great pics, thanks for sharing! One of Timber's eyes looks very similar to that, and has been like that since I got him. The vet told me "no worries."
  5. Hello and welcome to you and Isaac. Please post some pics and tell us more about your life together. I imagine you have some parrot stories yourself!
  6. I will be glad to come to Hawaii and stay with you robopetz! I may not be that cute but I can cook...
  7. Loved the pics and the video! Aren't those cameras great? When I was still working (I retired last year) it was so nice to be able to click over to Timber's video feed. I could see that he was OK and see how he spent his day.
  8. Hello and welcome to you and Ruby! She is still very young and I'll bet those muffled sentences will soon be understandable. Looking forward to hearing more about Ruby. I have a TAG also
  9. Hello and welcome! Please post some pics and tell us more about your life with your fids
  10. Hello and welcome to you and Ally! If you have any questions just ask. Someone here has experience with just about every situation/condition/behavior you might see. I'm looking forward to hearing how things go when you get Ally home. I'm sorry to hear that his owner could no longer care for him, but glad you are there to give him a good home! Good luck and God bless.
  11. Whew, so glad to read this! As others have said, I'd get him checked out if possible. Personally, I'd rather pay the vet bill than stress over what it could have been, if it might happen again, etc. etc.
  12. So sorry to hear this! I am just seeing it and hope everything is OK. Please keep us posted.
  13. Glad everything is OK! I just saw this. I totally understand how you feel. Every time Timber does something "out of the norm" I watch him like a hawk and worry. Better safe than sorry though I say.
  14. What a cutie! I've never seen a grey that didn't love the "bat bird" pose
  15. Hello and welcome! I am looking forward to hearing more about your life together. He's a handsome fellow!
  16. Awwww sweet! Timber will cuddle like that. I've tried to video but my phone makes him nervous. I haven't given up though!
  17. LOL Pretty obvious to me and I'm not even belong to an Amazon!
  18. Greys are often very change resistant. He may not be feeling safe in his new spot, especially if it is more open than the previous one. I have to tell you that Timber would have a fit if I moved his cage. He doesn't react well to any change in his environment, and especially to cage changes. It took him months to accept his new cage. He stayed in his small, older rust bucket until he was ready for the new one. The night light may help, or you might consider a cage cover at bedtime? If he isn't used to a cover that could just make things worse.
  19. Hello and welcome to you and Congo! I'm looking forward to hearing more about your life together. 25 years is a long time!
  20. I agree, go for it Ray! Our beloved companions can never be replaced, but a new one warms that empty place in our heart and quickly make their own place.
