I did it again! I landed perfect everytime. I even flew upwards, kinda had too cuz Oliver was on the floor walking back and forth between mom and dad. Mom said she was so proud of me and kept kissing and hugging me, and it wasn't even cuddle time! Sophie, mom said i had to shower today. I don't like it at all. It scares me really bad, i may just fly away if she tries it. Yeah, i will just fly to the shower rod if she dares to get me wet! I can do it now, ya know!! Oh poo, here comes Oliver.. Hiya all. Cool room. How come i didn't know about this? Has my brother been talking bad about me? Did he tell you about the chair i broke yesterday? Hmm, mom found out i like country music, she doesn't like it at all, but played it for me anyway. I danced and danced! I was so excited i kept nipping at her dining chair so she brought me a bar stool. One bite and i broke the spindle. She didn't get mad either, just said it was my chair now! She even left it in the kitchen for me! Daddy just smiled when he saw it and asked me why. Why? It was wood, duh! I go outside everyday and yesterday i didn't wanna come in. Mom said it was too hot, even for me and said i had to step up, so i said hello and beaked her. Whats a poop head? Thats what she said i was. I think it means good boy! I heard dad tell mom that he felt bad for me because i can't fly and go where i want to when i want to. He opened 4 drawers in the kitchen, like steps, for me to climb up on and get to the counter. Thats cool and it is all wood! Mom hooveres when i start up, wonder why?

Hey everyone! I flew, for real! Daddy had me on his arm and mommy was on the floor about 4' away and she said fly to mama's arm so i took off! I missed the first 3 times i tried but daddy said mom was bad at this cuz she just sat there and didn't even try to put her arm out to where i was going! After he told her that though, i flew closer to her and her arm reached and i landed on it! We did this several times until i was actually good at my landings!! She told me we would do this every day and that when all my feathers grew back, i would be so good at it! If i can do this now with only 3 long feathers between both my wings, watch out! I had so much fun that i pooped on moms kitchen chair! Then she said something about a goal? Whats that? Something about a harness within the year? I don't get it? Everyday we have a cuddle session and i let her touch my head and back now, even let her kiss the top of my head, but she keeps trying to sneak a tickle under my wing. I get the feeling this has something to do with that harness thingie, so i am just going to keep those wings close and tight to my body for now!

HeeHee, you should see what i made yesterday! It took me over a half a roll of adding paper and about half a day but my master piece is complete. I made little tiny strips of paper that filled the bottom of my stand and my food bowl. Its perfect, mom calls this one my spitball piccasso. I was shocked however when dad came to look at it and started taking it apart. He liked it soooo much, he was trying to steal it. I showed him, i ran over to him and stood my ground showing him my dislike. He took what i made from my food bowl but left the rest. Woosh, that was a close call! First thing this morning when i go to my stand, i will flap my wings and make them fly all over the place, thats the funnest part of abstract art!!

Oh this is hard.... Hubby, although he does want the too, is WAY more into reality than i am. :-[ . I again am not working and buying out right is not an option so unless she lets me work for her, i will not be able to adopt her. I will still be taking the boys to her home on Friday though so, we will see! O:-) lol.

I took my husband there today, i had to show him Lily, who i fell in love with. Instead he found Pretty Pearl, who he fell in love with. Both are umbrellas. I spoke with her about the pdd and she just smiled and asked me to come back to her home on the 6th. She has her vet there that day and asked i bring my boys by to meet him and speak to him. She used the same vet i have been using and changed to this guy, she swears he is the best. What can it hurt? This could actually happen. My husband who is NORMALLY the stong one who doesn't get all gooshy and weak came home tonight rearranging our home to make room. Lol Instead of bringing one home tonight though, i volunteered my services helping her take care of her flock! She sent some of her birdie bread home with us and let me tell you, both of my boys ate it like they never had it before! She said every Friday she makes enough for the week and it takes her all day to make! It cracked me up tonight when we were in her cockatoo room and she asked the birds if they wanted to dance, you could see their eyes light up. She put in cd and the "chicken dance" started to play. There is nothing funnier than a room full of birds dancing up and down or swinging from the top of the cage all laughing, even hubby and me were bouncing and flapping our arms joining in the fun!

Crap.... All i can say is that i am in love again! Sadly though with one of my boys testing positive for pdd, i can not, will not, bring another parrot into my home right now! I have never seen anything like this in my life! This woman has sooooo many birds, all breeds including something from the roadrunner family. I took so many pictures and videos my phone has rebelled against me and will not let me email them to my computer to share right now. I kid you not when i say she has alot of birds! Most she has rescued herself and they are her pets but she has a mobile home next to her own house for her breeders. Because they had just layed eggs we couldn't go in there. This place was cleaner than anything i had ever seen before too, my husband saw the pictures and all he could ask was how does she do it?? She is in her 60's now so she is slowing down and starting to sell some. I, of course, let her know i was available to help her anytime she needed it. Each room inside her house was for diff breeds, one room full of too's, one full of macaws, one nursery that housed all the babys, one for the smaller parrots. She had a huge area outside also for the larger breeder macaws, from scarlets to b&g, green wings to hyacynth (ms?), good lord are those big birds, never seen one in person before! I cried two times just being so overwhelmed with the beauty and care each of these birds had. The two i want are an umbrella too and a rose breasted too. (yeah i cried with excitement over these two) She had a hawk head that was outstanding! All of the buildings outside of her house were heated and ac'd, they all had special air units also. Her cockatiels, hundreds of them, were all in perfect condition, not a feather out of place. She even had a special needs room with some she had rescued. One too was a mutilator, one was there with a bad leg, one blue and gold had neurological issues, and each were treated so tenderly! (that room was my second cry) I am sorry this is so long but i truely didn't think any breeders like this were around here, but this amazed me!

I also have the open cage rule and a dedicated bird room, they don't use it but it is there! Lol They are always in the living room with us. When both the boys lived in the same room it was much easier, we had to move the grey out to the livingroom and our macaw got the bird room due to the grey dust bothering the macaw and the macaw just out right bothering the grey. We use to think it was funny when we would go in the bird room and find the macaw on top of the greys cage but one time during play time the macaw ran after and attacked the grey and thats when it became not funny. He was not trying to play, he was dominating the poor guy! So now, poor Bongo (aka. Stewart) has to go into his cage if i leave during the day now, Oliver still stays out but only in his room, door shut.

What do your Greys and other parrots call you and family members.

I think my name is the come here whistle. Of course thats the same thing he calls to get the dogs in but i like to pretend its only for me! Heehee. When Oliver wants me i get a dance, then the head motion to come here, then when i get there, he throws up and says hello. Sad but true, every time. -
I live in Dallas-Ft Worth, Texas but since mom is letting me fly now, i could get there in a month tops! I am not really good at it yet and my landings really are quite baddd but i will practice reeel hard! Weeeee, party party party! I am not telling Oliver, that guy cramps my style. He got in moms pantry yesterday and pulled every box he could reach out and threw them onto the floor then he put holes on everything. When he got to my babyfood jar of sweet potatoes though, mommy stopped him thank heavens! He is such a show off trying to cook dinner for them like that, i tried to tell him not too, that mom serves us not the other way around, its the cycle of life, God gave her to us to wait on our every need and he better not mess this up for us!!! Gesh!

Stewart is Stewie, Stew Meat, Bongo or my fav, PoopHead! Oliver is Oliie, Ollie Ollie Oxen Free or Chicken Butt. We also call him our nudist!
-
I am in the DFW area and will help in any way i can. It is a wonderful thing you are doing to help this little guy find his way home! Kudos to you!

Hmmm, did the parronts catch on? Are they on to us? Oh my, where is every1? Guess i will just torture the dog today! Sophie, come over anytime you wantttt, but i warn ya, my mom has a bottle that puts out water tooo. What is their problem? I get in my water bowl, get my beak and feet clean, what more does she want???? I like that smashed bannana underr my wing, i am saving it, but she doesn't care. Geshhhh. And the peanut butter stuck to my toes, i feel like i am more secure on my perch, but there she goes taking it off. Just wait, i will repay her in kind when the time is just right. I can wait! Bwaahaaaa!
-
Now thats a picture! Even Oliver has more feathers than that one, lol. Maybe we need to think about changing his nick name from our "nudist" to "Harry"! As far as our dogs verses our birds, our birds dominate! The dogs are scared of them except our smallest chihuahua, who thinks she is a mastif. She will run from stand to stand to catch some of that flying food! The fun starts when Stewart makes her beg on her hind legs before he will drop it to her or when he knows she isn't looking and drops it on her head! Hmmm, my bird has trained my dog. Lol
-
You can come here! I got this big room and you would fit right in. I don't like showers either, i try pooping everytime mom tries to get me wet, i just can't seem to get her with it! I will not give up, i will not give up! Hey i just started playing with my toys too, i am not to good at it yet, maybe you could show me! I'm pretty good at sticking my head into the bell and wearing it like a hat but mommy just calls me silly.

Great job! Looks really good and Dj will love it!
-
True.... But try to tell that to my remote that still thinks it works! Ha! Lol
-
I made a toy out of adding paper and wooden spools and colored wooden beads, new roll of paper needed weekly. Stewart makes spit balls outta it!
-
Ahhh, such a helper! Hope she got paid for all that hard work!

-
http://nuts.com/nuts/pinenuts/in-shell.html They have it all! I am so excited to place my first order, pine nuts and macadamia nuts! One stop shop! My sister in law sent the link to me, i was cracking up at how many people writing the reviews were purchasing for their birds!

Hey Gilbert! They are gunnnnnnna keep you! You say a bad word and i say nuthing but i am guessing you feel all the love they have for you like i do! That means your a keeper. Now if someone could just tell me how to get rid of that naked bird they call my brother. Boy does he get on my nerves, he talks and thinks he is the big cheese in this house, when he does that i whistle right over him real loud so mom and dad can't hear him, hee hee. Problem is 30 minutes later he is still saying hello, someone teach him a new word please!!!!

Woo hoo! All is good on the Oliver front! Vet was very happy with how he is progressing! Couldn't get a weight but said he feels fatter, lol. Oliver was being so good that he even trimmed his beak a weeeee bit and it didn't phase him at all. Oliver has stopped chewing wood very much anymore and has moved on to metal so his beak was jagged. He has about ruined the stand he uses and has figured out the latch over the food and water bowls on it so poop on the toys! He thinks it is just funny to see me put a fresh bowl of food in there. He runs to it, unlatches it and throws it to the floor. Lol eh, who cares, i love him!!! Is sugar free jello ok for birds in very limited itty bitty bites. ( as in training ) I have not given it to them but they are very curious about it.
