Ha ha ha...that was too cute!! Her middle name is determined!!

Congrats CharlieB! How exciting!! When I brought my baby home I walked her through the whole house and then put her on her tree and let her hang out for a few hours. I didn't put her in her cage until it was time to go to bed. She took to everything new really well, but I'm sure every baby is different. She is a very brave and independent soul, so she didn't react at all to her new surroundings. I would say just pay attention to your baby, and let them tell you what they're comfortable with. If you notice they are stressed out, then maybe see what makes them more comfortable. They will tell you how they feel about a situation.

I put Chickie in her cage butt first so she's less likely to try and grab the bars on the way in. Usually works pretty well.

Ha ha ha...yeah, I had a ton of posts to go through last night. We were so busy there for a few days I barely got to sit down, much less get to check the forum. Now that the holiday fun and craziness is over life is back to normal...lol.

JeffNok-Keep the faith!! I'm sure things will settle down between you two and all will be well. My Chickie sounds a lot like Gracie-she is very independent and quite happy spending hours on her tree playing while we are doing things in the house. She sometimes gives me a little grumble when she doesn't really want to step up, but if I ask again she will ususally agree. I totally understand how you feel-it's so hard because you just want to do right for your baby, and when you think you might have just done the wrong thing it's so upsetting. Everyone else gave you some excellent advice, and I'm sure the dust will settle. It's hard for me to give advice, as we are at the same birdie knowledge level, but I can give you my support as I totally understand how you feel.

What an ordeal for poor Barnaby and you, but he is in the BEST possible hands now and I'm sure he knows he will be taken care of. I'm so glad to hear that he is slowly doing better.

Seriously couldn't watch the video...had to turn it off cause it was too sad to watch. It's so unfair to the animal. I can never understand why someone would do that, but thank God for all you guys out that that have your rehomed babies that need your love so much.

Wow...You have quite the full household! I have no idea how you guys with kids and fids and other 4-legged babies do it. It's all I can do to keep up with our feathered and furry babies that my BF and I have. You definitely have my respect!!
