every year I usually get a buzzcut and this is the first time Timmy has seen it. to make the story short, he FREAKED OUT!!!!!!!! it took 2 days for him to get used to a bald me!! haha he would hang upsidedown, scream, make weird scary noises that ive never heard before and wouldnt let me step him up, just bit at me while bobbing his head. Im glad he got over it but it was quite funny to see his reaction!!!! All is back to normal now! .............just thought yall would appreciate that!

noooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! He is in the cage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry to startle you, HAHA!! As soon as we get home we open the cage and he goes where he wants till 10-11pm when we hit the sack, then I fight him to get him back in for the night...

we are away 8+ hrs a day and we dont have any problems....you will be just fine! dont worry!

If the computer or screen hurts ur birds eyes, they simply wont look at it! If something hurt your eyes would would you stare at it?????.....PROB NOT!!! Just my common sense little redneck 2-cents! HA

I have the most boring story of all! Timmy's name is, well, the name he came to me with.....Since he is a Timneh his first owners named him Timmy! WOW huh........sorry for the lame story hahahah!! Pete (parakeet)- my four year old son picked him out at the pet store and named him after his best friend in kindergarden, Pete Jackson (thats petes whole name, but we just say "Pete") Sam (teil)- again, my son picked it out...have no clue why!

Timmy sounds like a low-toned duck, more or a duck wimpering or something when he aint happy....very quiet tho, deep and deliberate...thats when i leave well enough alone

I would consider clipping wings for a while, for the safety of bird and baby. Dont clip the babys arms tho...thats not necessary! Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!! Congrats on the baby! Timmy is clipped for his own safety as well as my 1 year old daughters safety and it works fine. He has access to alot of play areas by climbing to and from them and he sits on the perches in rooms with us...the baby cant reach him and he knows he cant go anywhere. Timmy is VERY VERY happy and one day he will fly, in a year or so when its safe for everybody. As far as the poop and mess while ur preg...just keep it clean and everything will prob be ok. If a vet or vet tech has a baby on the way they keep working and dont have any probs, so you and the baby will prob be just fine...they are around WAY MORE POOP THAN YOU!

its been over 2 weeks since timmy started "whacha doing" and THATS ALL HE SAYS!! Im ready for something else, he says it at least 1500 times a day, different tones, differrnt speeds..errrrrrrrrrr, HAHA He must really like to say that, but at least he has added "Timmy" to it...I guess to spice his fav words up a tad!

Heather- my ears arent small either!! Its a constant battle of telling Timmy "stop" biting my ears!! He dosent bite tho, just very light nips but if he did bite I would need stiches!!!!! I just walk and talk alot to keep him occoupied when he is on my shoulder...

Ever since we brought Timmy home, we have been seeing Indian Meal Moths around his cage and around our house. They prob came from the bag of food that came with him. Anyone else have these little moths from time to time, and how did you rid your house of them?

Kim, Barb is right...Search some of my posts by date and glance over them. Timmy was perfect for the first week or so then "honeymoon" was over and things went bad...it was another 3 or 4 weeks then he suddenly came alive!!! He WILL NOT SHUT UP!!!!! I love it!

Just this week I started saying "what ya doing" to Timmy every time I saw him...and this evening He said it!! I just get pumped cause these guys are soooo freaking smart! He says it over and over and over, must be praticing it huh!

Timmy actually enjoys the pellets, only in the afternoon tho. That is because he picks thru all day and gets his favorites out of the bown first! I give him half seed mix/half pellets and sometimes he eats what we have for supper, but he has to really like it. He gets fresh veggies and fruits as treats every day but usually dont eat too much
