  1. Corky does the same thing with the beak. When my son, wife or myself take her to window she will tap on the glass with her beak. I gess she wants to wake up all the out side birds in the morning. When we are doing some thing she has to be there to see whats going on. When I say there it`s in your face there.
  2. Dave hit the nail on the head. I have to say that when our grey and zon are out and with us they will let us no when and we put them on their t stand. If they are flying around it`s every place and any place. FOR A HIGH CLASS FORUM WE SPEND A LOT OF TIME TALKING ABOUT POOP.
  3. A lesson we can all learn. Clipped birds can still fly. Glad every thing turned out ok. (28 hours of hell)
  4. And a hello back at you. Glad to see things are going well for you and youe flock. I think about Lucy often and wonder how she is doing. Don`t stay away so long because we enjoy your storys about you and your flock.
  5. I think Salsa should be in on this to, She qualifies for the contest she is a zon, and it`s members voteing
  6. You can try but you can`t save them all. The highest bidder is not always the best home. Sorry he looked like a gem.
  7. Audi and Cocoa both look like they enjoy their trail hiking.
  8. It would be interesting to see this same study on humans. It might be the other way around.
  9. Welcome to the forum. We like pictures and storys.
  10. Fresh or frozen veggies is a good start. In winter we buy frozen mixed veggies and she has some in her food dish every day and in the summer it`s freah. she also has some chicken leg bone with some meat on it and hamburger, pasta and a little fruit. We use Roudybush pellets for our grey. Cheerios makes a nice treat out of the box. There are many things you can use to mix it up and it may take time to chang her over just keep giveing her a veriety and eat with her. My birds will try anything they see me eat.
  11. I read your post in the health room and I am very sorry for your loss. But I would like to take the time to welcome you to the forum and hope that some day you may take in anouther gery to love when the time is right. The good people here share in your grief.
  12. We make toys out of plastic bottle tops old medicine bottles with caps they can pull off and toss the bottle around or hang then on a string. Corky loves to play in my wifes tall boy laundry basket. She will climb up and down the basket for hours. We also have about a million dollars worth of store bought toys. We live in a log cabin so we have to keep her off the walls because with all that wood she thinks died and went to heaven. To keep her out of trouble is a full time job.
  13. Wal-Mart in the frozen foods.
  14. So sorry for your loss. Nikki will wait for you at the rainbow bridge.
  15. When they want something I have not found anything they can`t open. A jar of Jif peanut butter will drive my little girls nuts untill they get it open.
  16. I might have to stuff Cricket into a peanut butter can so we can relive last Easter and take some pictures. Come to think of it I won`t have to stuff her in the can she knows what it looks like and she will go in on her own.
  17. Happy Easter to you and yours.
  18. I keep looking for new pictures. Should I check to see if my computer is working ok.
  19. And from this point it only gets better, but that will always be your moment.
  20. I some times think it`s their way of saying to you who is in charge. Because YOU WILL come back.
  21. She knows a villain transformer from a friend.
  22. My grey Corky and my zon Cricket have never pooped in their water, but my cockatiels always poop in their water and food. You can change it 10 times a day and you will find poop. The best you can do is try to keep it as clean as you can but from time to time there will be poop and they will drink from it and they will live. We change their water at least twice a day.
