Hi Karunk and welcome back. I have three birds and they all come from a different continent. We have a congo african grey, a blue front amazon and two cockatiels. A cockatiel is a great fid and just as much fun and interesting as my grey and amazon. They call back and forth to each other all the time and my male tiel talks almost as good as my zon and grey.

Your dog was out done by the bird. For her next trick you will be out done by the bird. lol

You have been given many opininos by many members who are speeking from their heart. In the end its up tp you to decide on the grey you feel will be the best choice for the BOTH of you in long run.

How much time do you have to read all of the grey forum. I bet not enough. As of 6/15/12/ we have 8,190 members and 223,123 post. Now if you could read 60 post per minute for 8 hours that would be 3600 post per houre X 8 hours would = 28800 post per day. Divide that into 223.123 post and you get 28.8 days to read the grey forum at 8 hours a day and 60 post per minute. That is alot of reading and I know I could not do it. I have been a member for almost two years and I have not read all the post. Just think how much I have missed. The knowledge on this forum goes beyond belief. If you only had the time.

We have two wood stoves in our home that we use all the time. We make suer the draft is open all the way when we open the fire box.

Our greys can become more attached to us than we realize even when they don`t show us in other ways.
