  1. Ok, i got what he says! It's a breathing noise like, he-he or ha-ha! If you miss it, you definitely know!
  2. I'm just cracking up over here... Thanks for sharing this.... adventure!!!
  3. Thanks greywings! Will try that... Now, I'm thinking my question is silly because hello rain! I read through possible method 1 and 2... but, any other tips or personal experiences?
  4. I am not sure, but I'm sure someone will be able to answer it!
  5. We had a little red lorikeet that I named Jax... don't know why now... But when we got Jasper, I wanted something to go with Jax... AND, twilight was really big and I liked the name Jasper...so, Jasper and Jax... (we don't have Jax anymore) So, yes, honestly named after Jasper in Twilight! lol
  6. I am on a mission to get jasper used to a regular bathing schedule. Yesterday i brought out the aloe vera. Screamed and growled until he didn't have any more breath to scream with. Then, he'd take another breath and scream and growl again. Later he saw the bottle and growled at it... But, after the trauma (lol) he sat with me and had all his wings out and looked like a chicken. So, my question is... if I accidentally get him in the face a little bit, is it ok? I try not to, but he does move...
  7. hum, i haven't paid attention...I will start paying attention. He does 'eat the furniture' and I tell him no. So when he wants attention, he'll make the sound of himself eating the furniture...but that's not a no, that's him getting my attention! What a BOOGER! lol (yes, i just realized this)
  8. i totally understand! glad you're back!
  9. lol... that's funny! thanks for sharing!
  10. sounds like your vet is very experienced with birds, it's hard not to worry about our babies, but she sounds like she's at the best possible place for this. Since they've delt with hawks, I'm sure that they know how to handle a grey. Plus, I would think they would be taking her right to the x-ray place (which is probably in a room) and then straight back to where she was knocked out... with no dogs along the way. Any of your fears that you are thinking of, seek the truth of what they've done in the past. That should put your fears away Good luck and let us know what they find!
  11. that sounds like a good idea... I usually put a favorite toy in the cage along with a new one before we leave (as long as the new one doesn't freak out the bird!)
  12. lol... the me, me, me...oh dear! Well, then I'm sure he'll start laughing after doing these one day!!! lol
  13. LOL! How cute!!! I do too love hearing Spock's perspective of things!
  14. i didn't read all of everything, but did he laugh after he did it?!? mine will do something and then sit there and laugh. it's so cute but at the same time, it's like, ok, the laugh is cute, but what you just did isn't CUTE!!! lol
  15. so adorable! I also liked the way she ended the beak with a hard K!
  16. me too. Jay and Maggie - we love you and think about you and pray for you often.
  17. Any updates on how they are doing? I just feel so terrible for them
  18. i hope Chilly gets better soon too. you're doing an awesome job! I remember a story about an eagle and a man...he had to nurse her back to health and when he got sick, it's like the bird just knew and wrapped his wings into like a bear hug... keep your chin up!
  19. oh my! send some my way! i love snow!!!! (we get wind, ice and freezing cold temps here)
