1. Hey! I just had to say that I've been at a place where they had a cockatoo...and that siren you heard on mytoos site...is accurate...but it needs to be louder!!! When they said to press your ear to the speaker and turn it up all the way, they weren't joking. I have a grey and a lorikeet. I really love them both! But lorikeet's...their poo is really messy to deal with! (like liquid almost) so that might be something to think about too!
2. Thanks Jillybeanz and ranaz! I'll have to see if I can get it, but Jasper has a play stand and will slide down the circle (at the top) so he can eat...it's so funny... Jax will lay on his back and play with his toys!
3. That is hilarious!!!! I love the look on his face! I can't wait for new moon to come out either!!!
4. LoL...oh, don't I know about that!!! Charlie and Keeko are very cute I'll look for Jasper!
5. Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! Glad you all enjoyed my pictures Casper - I love the name Jasper! I see your picture of 2 which one is Jasper?
6. Judygram - I was wondering jealousy issues too... last night, was much better though... I just need to keep training and doing the special privileges. Birds are such funny little things! Dave007 - Thanks! I'll check that site out!
7. I'm sorry can you move this again for me??? I thought I posted a new topic on the every birds forum...
8. Hello, I just have a question that I hope someone has some info on! Jax (our Lorikeet) has just recently started to make a weird hissing noise while rubbing my lip with his beak. Doesn't bite and he'll do it when I'm talking to him. I will pull him away and then he'll stick his head out really high and look at me... Background: I try not shoulder him, but he wants to be up there, more so after we got Jasper. If he does get up there and I tell him to step up to get down, he has started biting and making a squawking noise...he doesn't draw blood, but it's getting close. Like he doesn't want to get down. (or get in his cage really...but not all the time, maybe 1 out of 10 times) He dances and head bobs and squeaks to get my attention... He goes to bed last and gets 'special' privileges, I talk to him and Jasper a lot. Jasper is more my husband's bird...Jax is mine and we play a lot... I'm not sure if it's a jealousy thing? Or a me thing? We got Jasper a month ago and all of this started 2 weeks ago... I am not sure what to do...we practice step up a lot and does fine when he's not on my shoulder or trying to put him back in his cage... Any insight? Need more info? Any training excersize's I need to be doing with him? Thanks in advance for your help!!!! Post edited by: Jingles, at: 2009/09/01 22:35

Post edited by: Jingles, at: 2009/09/15 19:57
