I saw another grey like that and I asked about her... They said that she doesn't pluck, but chews her feathers off, leaving her down feathers alone. They said that she doesn't like change and was a nervous bird... And that they worked with her and she got all her feathers back, but then someone had a baby and there went all her feathers again! you might see a bird trainer? I have one and he is absolutely wonderful!

I'm so sorry that she's plucking... I got my lori from a not so wonderful place...opps, yes, we learned our lesson... and we figured out (through a bird trainer) that he didn't like to be talked harshly too...only positive reinforcement...no negative (which is hard!) my lori was biting a lot and since we've only done the positive reinforcement, he's done a lot better...I also increased the amount of night he had... Hopefully those will spark something for you!

Hey all!!! Sorry I haven't been on much..I've missed a lot, i'm so sorry! But I had a question... Does your gray do 'the lean'? Jasper leans so hard that it's like he's thinks if he leans you'll take him in that direction! I thought it was cute...but try not to give in because otherwise my hand would be going like a pendulum!

more experienced bird owners will jump in...but for right now, i think she'll be alright! Espically if she's not bleeding...I don't think it will be become infected either. Pepper did the right thing by pulling it out herself... yes, sorry!!! For the record, i went with Velveeta macaroni cheese! I've been thinking about this grilled cheese and mac n cheese all afternoon...that I can taste it! lol

Praise God!!!! That is wonderful news! Thank you for the update. I think people are 'in admiration and praise' is that not anyone would risk going to jail by crossing the boarder... I know a lot of us here would...but you just don't hear about that all the time.

I LOVE grilled cheese and Mac n Cheese... I am always wanting new recipes to try...but here is one of my favorites... 2 pieces of buttered bread... 1 piece of colby jack cheese 1 piece of peppered jack cheese smear of cream cheese put down 1 piece of buttered bread on skillet add colby jack cheese and then smear of cream cheese (tip, put the smear on the cheese first and then add to bread!) next add pepper jack cheese (so the cream cheese goes in the middle) then other piece of bread. Flip when 1st side is brown...take off when other side is brown. I love this grilled cheese... Mac N Cheese cream cheese shredded cheese Make Mac n cheese Put in a casserole dish Take chunks of cream cheese and spread throughout Shredded cheese on top Bake til shredded cheese is melted or a bit 'burned' ...that's my favorite cheese Oh this is good!!! What are your recipes?
