  1. holy moly, that is awful. Thank goodness that bird is out of there...and you guys filed police reports. UGH! Maybe, a vet would work out payment plans, as this bird needs to be seen!
  2. My Grey will ignore it. Totally act like it's not there... maybe he's the odd man out on this one! (My cocktoo will lunge at those downy things floating by and start her dance...lol)
  3. cute! thanks for sharing! he was really into that grape!
  4. my cat's name is vincent... (although he's after Vincent in oh what is that movie...it has John Travolta in it) oh, that is going to drive me insane that I can't think of the name! Ah hA! Pulp Fiction... we call him Vinny most the time and Vincent if he's ignoring me - he does come to both though. We love his name... does your daughter maybe like vinny?
  5. Loved the pictures!!! Welcome home
  6. that breaks my heart as well. Poor little guy...do keep us informed on what happens.
  7. i'm not sure, but I would think it would grow back. can he move it? Don't beat yourself up, it was an accident... (bighug)
  8. I agree, my TOO ignores my grey...BUT, if for some reason Jasper (grey) takes off flying, she puffs up and starts her dance. She also does this to the cats and the dogs...and the zu-zu pet (that electronic hamster thingy my daughter just HAS to have) Their cages are next to each other but not to close to each other where they could reach through...maybe about 10 inches apart...or a foot...I like to think they keep each other company while we're gone but not sure....lol
  9. good luck, can't wait to hear a update
  10. I love it when they're like this, thanks for sharing!

    so sad

oh my goodness...tissue were a must! now i want to go and just love on my TOO
  12. really...I didn't know aloe needed to be in the fridge!!! Ok...got that, no aloe and bath the same day.... thanks! Ok...so, you think just give him another good get soaked bath and that will help with the aloe that won't come off of his feathers? His feathers are dark...like when i sprayed him down, they got dark from the aloe and being wet...they are dry now, but still dark if that makes sense and have the feel and smell of aloe still being on them...
  13. that makes sense... interesting to actually sit down and think about though
  14. I sprayed Jasper down with Aloe and then let him be in the shower with me. (He got soaked both times) Now, he smells like Aloe and his feathers...it's like they've got aloe stuck to them, like he's not preening them. He has been eating well and talking like normal... Whenever I do this to my cockatoo, when she dries she is very soft and I don't see the aloe stuck to her. So, my question is why does it look like he's got aloe stuck to him and what should I do about it and did I do something wrong? okay... 3 questions...

thanks for the advice dave!!! my bird HATES it and runs and fly's and does everything to get me to try to stop...
  16. YES!!! I agree! I have a U-TOO and the first thing she does is swipes at her food, knocking the first layer on the floor, looking for the perfect first peace.
  17. sounds like you guys are having a lot of fun!!! Be safe and post some pictures!!! hehe...when you have time of course!
  18. oh my, tears are in my eyes now. Absolutely beautiful... I will also never forget that day...
  19. that is hilarious! I wonder how in the world she taught the too that...
  20. oh phew!!! That's great! Glad things went good with it!
  21. yea, Dave is right!!! Also, it seems all my bird does is eat...all day long. He'll sit out with us and just hang out on his perch...I am not sure I see him playing with his toys....He also loves looking out the window...
