How exciting!! I was in the same position 5 years ago. One boy, one girl. After several visits it became obvious who I was going to take home. He chose me & there was no looking back. One of the greatest decisions I have made in my life, Biscotti never fails to make me smile. It has been a learning process for both of us, but I have no doubt that he was meant to be in my life. Go as often as you can, the choice will come in time.

I am so glad you all enjoyed Biscotti's sillyness! I am actually glad I did not see this happen, it would have scared me to death! I thought he had tossed something to the bottom of his cage when I heard him laugh and talk about making a big noise I thought it was so amazing that he was actually saying "whoa" as he was falling!

Hi all, I have not posted much lately & have been trying to get some new videos of Biscotti. I just watched this and about died laughing! I did not know this happened until I watched it, I was in another room! So glad my silly boy has a great sense of humor!

Hi Dee, I have not posted much on the forum lately, but I do check in & try to keep up with the group, especially the antics of Miss Gil I was checking in this am & saw your post about her watching & commenting on Biscotti's videos. I love that she still enjoys them! I have new videos of him, I need to get uploaded. I will have to go over to the "lounge" & post an update on Biscotti soon. I am so glad that Miss Gil is doing so well with all your love & patience, I love reading about her daily life & adventures with you!

Biscotti calls me "mommy bird" most of the time, sometimes it's just "mommy". So sweet to hear. I love my boy.

So funny about the naughty word!! I reserve my sailor talk for the out of doors, which is where it most often spouts out anyway. Don't have to worry about the cattle or horses repeating things. The one naughty word Biscotti says has almost disappeared, thank goodness. It will pop up once in a while when he drops something to the floor of his cage, I have to stifle myself from laughing. They sure are entertaining.

I just now saw Gilberts video, what a thrill! So wonderful to see him out and about and enjoying himself You have done such a great job with him. Just awesome.

I really feel for you Jeff, I remember when Biscotti decided he was going to "be his own bird", at around the same age as Gracie, lol. Who stole my sweet little boy??? He quickly became a no shoulder bird after a nasty reach around the side, skin breaking bite that just missed my eye. We have also gone to a stick (perch, whatever) for return trips to his cage. He also is protective of "his house" so I do his maid service while he is preoccupied with something. He has just turned 4 & I have to say, we have gotten into a comfortable routine that we are both happy with, me because I am not getting the nasty bites, yes-skin breaking, bruised for a week type, and him because his "space" is not being violated by me. I never did "kiss him on the beak", as he so often talks about. It was always a pretend kiss from inches away, and he still likes that. Hang in there, you two will figure out what will work for your future together, this too shall pass.

You guys are really observant! Between all of you, you got all 4 of the things he did & commented about. Dan, you got the first one at about 12 sec., he pooped, looked at it and said " Oh, that was icky poo Cott." The second one at about 1:13 he scratches himself & says "I got a itch". The third at about 2:29 he sneezes says "Bless You! Bless you parrot, Cotty had a sneeze! " And the fourth one at about 3:25 he raises his foot to groom & says "that's my foot!" He repeats that one at about 4:30. I call him Cott and Cotty a lot, so he is talking about himself. He never ceases to amaze me! Our little grey friends are just so smart. I was watching another video of Biscotti and noticed that besides his random talking, he also did 4 different things in this video & made a comment about them when he did them. I thought it was really interesting! See if you can spot the 4 things, ( one he actually does twice, so 5 things, but 4 are all different. )

Great post! I made the mistake of going to let Biscotti out of his cage while I had one of those long rolled cookies (kind of look like a skinny cigar) in my hand & he came out very swiftly & promptly gave me a good bite on the hand that had the cookie in it! They are very detail oriented & notice little things we don't even think about.

She is a beautiful baby girl!! You and your family are going to have so much fun with Avah.
