You two are indeed fab friends - and I love you both! Mind you - I am very lucky you live too far to visit!! I do indeed wear meat products - there's nothing like a couple of lamb steaks strapped to your feet around the house instead of carpet slippers!!! It didn't take me long to find the next surprise - although I was expecting a picture in the photography room of a slain bear or elk, the treasures of the hunting trip!!! Don't go getting any ideas!!!

It's Friday!!!!!! Nearly 7am here in the UK and I'm already thinking of my first glass of wine in 12 hours time!!! I think I may need help!!!

Firstly the alsatian owner would have had my boot up their jacksy - and swiftly followed by the dog! Good to hear that all went well with Paco at the vet's - it's reassuring that there is nothing medically wrong with him - you'll just have to keep him amused to stop this and at 5½ months this is an easy thing to do as they are so pliable. I wouldn't worry about the talking - he's a very little baby - that will come later on (Harvey is nearly one and only says hello very occasionally). Making the vet kiss Paco is a classic though!!

What an absolutely beautiful place - and it's on your doorstep you lucky thing!!! Koko is taking all of this sightseeing and visiting in his stride - he doesn't seem bothered at all - then again - I don't think the monkeys spotted him!! Thank you for sharing these wonderful photographs - you have such beauty surrounding you

Oh Cassandra - I've just read the write up - it's sounds delightful!! The thing I like about books like this is that it is actually written by an animal expert - so as well as cheeky humour there'll also be fact. Thanks for sharing this - it's definitely something I'd like to read

"Jeez, more gawping fleshy human thingy me wotsits - yes, I'm here, It's me - AND?"

Yeah Dee - it was all Judy's fault - only Judy's, Judy's alone, Judy on her own, Judy by herself, not you!!! I'm gutted that this bit of the forum is bust - because I was just going to change mine to "watch out for that Judy and that Dee"   Just to prove I really do like you both I grant you two sprinklings of my karma duster (you two don't get the tinkling wand - just the grubby old duster)!!! I've also given some to Janet & Bernie ~ well, just for being them!!

Post edited by: JillyBeanz, at: 2009/11/26 20:07

The cheapest toys keep them amused the longest!!! Koko has some great acrobatic skills going on there!!
-
Oh Adina - so lovely of you to teach Emma a song ALL ABOUT ME (oh yes, and some boy called Jack - where did he come from!!!). Yet another great video of Emma - it's one of those videos that when you trawl You Tube you think - nah - that parrot can't do that - but we know differently!!!!! We are lucky enough to know you!!!!

If I thought for one second that you meant it I would go and start my own forum and have lots of new, nice friends!!!! I am a sensitive soul, easily upset.........

Glad you are all going to have a fab time - my soggy sandwiches were lovely thanx for asking!!!! Judy - your whole shabang sounds yummy - but being a veggie I'd have to replace the turkey with a nut roast!!!! Dee - being a mother never stops - the turkey buffet sounds delightful!! Janet - put that baby down!!!! Enjoy whatever you are doing all of you - been thinking of you all today

I've just had my vaccine (one swine flu left arm, one normal run of the mill flu right arm). Everything is ine - go for it if you are offered it!!!

Post edited by: JillyBeanz, at: 2009/11/26 13:31

Harvey will choose his moments - mostly late in the evening when his tummy is full and he's checked the clock to see it's getting about as near as 9pm as he can get to try and lengthen his "out of cage" experience, before he gets his "nightie" on and goes "birdy byes"! Harvey will keep nudging me if I stop too - and also has a "tickly spot" deep where the wing meets the "shoulder blade" and his leg twitches when I hit this spot! -
OMG - what a fab picture!!! They're like a couple of models!!! You do take great pictures Lyn (obviously with the assistance of your super subjects!!). I need to go find me another pet to take a picture of!!!
-
Spock - it's great to hear an update and find you are well and introducing yourselves to your new shipmates. If there's a bit of that hybriding going on in your house - stay away from it - you never know and you are way too young!!!! It's nice to see that you are helping prepare Thanksgiving Dinner - but perhaps you should leave some for Jay & Maggie!!! Great update - lovely pictures too - thanks Jay & Maggie xxx

That Dayo needs therapy - oooh, such a temper tantrum - he'll be lying on the floor of your local store banging his fists and not moving next! Great video Dan - love it!!!

Harvey is one year old on 16 December and, following extensive forum reading, I have always intended to book him in for an annual wellness check. What do I expect from this check? I can guess the obvious - chest sounding, weight check, eyes, beak, talons, nares etc - but do I EXPECT bloods to be taken and faecal cultures as a norm? There is absolutely nothing wrong with Harvey - but how far do I go? I'd be very grateful for your thoughts on this - and whether you take yours for "non-sickness" vet visits. I have absolute faith in my vet - luckily the vet surgery my family has used for 25+ years has TWO qualified avian vets!!

Hey! That Koko is more travelled than me!! Yesterday the gym, today the swimming pool and park!!!! Great pictures of Koko again - thanks for sharing them
-
Hold on!! I started this thread for our other pets! It is not a dating agency! Get a room! David's a big bloke Bernie - he'll biff you one

Supernova wrote: Yes! Harvey loves them - be they as baby leaves when they first start appearing in the garden, to the big momma ones!! I only take them from my own garden, as I know there is no fertiliser used (and neither do either of my neighbours), I wash them and them give them to Harvey - He loves them!!!
