I am going to the dollar store for those rings i always look at them and then put it back on the shelve now i finally know what i am going to do. When you say babies coming home are you having a baby or are you talking about birds? Sorry i am not always on to follow everything that is going on.

I don't see why you could not use a sock just make sure your birds nails are trimmed so they don't catch on it. Show pictures when your done

Well it is weekend and a miserable one to say the least has been raining for days. Has anyone got new ideas on stuff to make for our birds this weekend? I know someone out there has a great idea and it needs to be passed on. I am ready to get going. smile

I know you are the one that inspired me. This is not the one i made i made one like yours with the beads on it. Now i just need to figure out how to close the circle. You must be over joyed. I still remember how i counted the hours and days and just could not wait to get mine. As soon as the egg was fertile the lady called me to put the deposit down. I luckily got mine when he was 3 weeks old since i do hand feeding i could get him so much sooner and could do the feeding myself which was great. Please post lots of pictures of your baby once you get him or her. I love pictures.

Any gardeners out there should enjoy this my first roses are in full bloom please note this is only March. I guess we have lived in Texas for longer than i wish to say out loud and still cannot get use to the green life in March. In Chicago we did not have signs of any life in March and look at this. Believe me they will get it open eventually and i have had mine play with these bottles for a while just thought this would be more fun stringing a bunch together.

I thought this was worth sharing just take your clean empty plastic bottles drill holes in the lids drop there favorite treat in the bottle i did almonds close caps tightly and there you have a toy.

Yes i bought one 2 x4 and two i think it is 1 x 1 and just cut them up, drilled holes and then used the vitta critter colors on them. As you can see from my post yesterday i must have made a ka-zillion toys from this little lumber. I still have soo many blocks left over that i just added them to there buckets for foot toys.

Ahhhh thank you, you are so kind. I call it being frugal, since birds can put you in the poor house you cannot keep buying at the inflated prices. When you start making toys you realize how much these company's profit from us. I don't mind spending money on toys that last but most of them do not with the bigger birds.
