Alfies my congo african grey, Hes so special in every way, Sometimes hes good sometimes hes bad, But life without him would be so sad, He whistles and chatters all day long, But only he knows that song. From dawn to dusk he gives fun, Thank you Alfie your my number one.

Alfie growles like a Dog if there is somthing he dosent like but never screams i suppose every bird has different ways of showing fear with greys the feathers stand up when they do BEWARE its 1 angry bird

I half cover Alfie around 8.30 he chatters to himself for a while but dosent sleep i go to bed around 10 and he knows its time for kiss goodnite as hes at the bars waiting. i usually get up around 8am but one night last week the birds outside woke me with the dawn chorus around 4.30 so i lay there listening to them when i heared Alfie starting to whistle and say hello i couldnt stop laughing it went on for ages Anyway he normaly gets around 10 hours and seems fine with that p.s never naps through the day B)

Alfie has left his mark on my leather setee in erm oh 2 many beak holes 2 count :unsure:

I know as a grey owner myself how exciting it can be to Purchase a Grey but Please think long and hard before you take the plunge as it aint all a bed of roses. Your home becomes there home so chewing sofas, wallpaper,doors and most of all pooping is all part of owning a grey. Having read adverts where greys are for sale mostly saying (through no fault of there own Grey for sale)I agree its not the Greys fault its the owners who are at fault for not weighing up the pros & cons that come with owning any bird So PLEASE make sure you are 100% certain this is what you want to do Greys live a long time they are Vet bills & home dammage its a big change so make the right decision & say to Yourself can I give 100% to this
