  1. Your zon is quite handsome, almost as good looking as my guy, Louie, the BF zon (smile). Looking forward to learning more about him, what is his name? My Louie has never been clipped and luckily never escaped. Welcome to the Amazon Room!
  2. Way to go DJ! I believe a flighted bird is a happy bird. My three are all flighted and have oodles of confidence. Looking forward to hearing more about how DJ does with his new ability.
  3. Hi Constantine welcome to you and your flock. I also have a BF zon and two greys. We do have an Amazon Room and hope to see you and your ZON there. Zons have a personality all their own. Looking forward to hearing more about your CAG. What is his name. Details please!
  4. That's the way of the Grey. My Sterling Gris is a great talker but when people are around not a word. I have tried to record but he does not like a camera. So he is my secret talker. Congrats to Alfie!
  5. Why not just open the cage door and let Simon come out on his own. I never take my parrots out of their cages, they always come out on their own.
  6. I have had the flu for the last week or so. I live alone so I am the only one to care for my pets/birds. They are healthy and giving me lots of trouble as usual. Of course I do not kiss my pets although I have been giving them scratches. Sterling does cough but, he mimics just about anything he hears. I should be in such great shape and health as they are. I wash my hands and cover my mouth when I sneeze or cough, the same consideration I give humans, I give to my pets.
  7. Now Timbersmom, you know very well if one of our grey's acted in such a perfect way, we would assume he/she was ill and be off to the avian vet in a panic!
  8. I have three parrots and don't going looking for more, HOWEVER, if a bird needs a home I'm here and would not hesitate.
  9. Well I am not afraid of birds, but bees and wasps now that's another story!

    Skittles

Thanks for introducing us to Skittles. What a pretty little birdie!
  11. Peanut is lucky to have found a loving home. Good job!
  12. My first grey is a TAG and she has the personality of a giant. So, TAGs may be smaller than CAGs but their personalities are just as big, if not bigger. My Ana Grey is fearless.
  13. Makes you start to wonder, who really rules the roost! Love those greys!
  14. Attaching streamers to a ceiling fan might be an alternative so that your parrot can see that the object/fan is moving.
  15. Welcome to the Grey family Mike the Grey. Thank you for taking in these two greys that need loving care.
  16. Hi Mike the Grey. If these were my greys, I would take them to the an avian vet. I would get all the changes out of the way quickly so that life can become calm and pleasant much easier. If your greys need meds or special foods to me, these adaptations should be made before they settle into your home. They should have these changes made now so that they are everyday changes right from the start. I look forward to learning more about Bubba and Sassy and getting to know you all. Kudos to you for taking in these two needy greys.
  17. Welcome Kelly, you have a nice little flock there. I have a TAG, a CAG, a BF ZON and a red canary. All are free flying, including the canary, but he lives only in my office or my TAG would have him for lunch. Ana Grey is the "Boss" although the other two are larger than her, the guys are much heavier and cumbersome then my light and speedy little lady. Looking forward to learning more about your little band of flyers.
  18. Welcome Kevin. Oh your new companion is a lucky guy indeed to have found a patient and loving new parront. I look forward to going on this journey with you and your new friend. You are doing all the right things: time and patience with your new companion taking the lead. Grey Time = nice and slow.
  19. Hi Gail, welcome to you and Chloe! Can't wait to see a picture of your pretty lady when you get a chance.
  20. Would love to see some pictures of your newest companion! Please!
  21. So true Jayd. My Louie is a re-home and is such a joy to be around. Full of energy and love. If I had to choose between my grey or my zon I couldn't do it. Zons truly live for the moment and don't hold a grudge.
  22. Bless your husband and may he come home safely. I see Jelly Bean is learning to be your prep chef. Good job! I live alone and find that my parrots are great companions in their humble way. Be strong.
  23. Hi Micheal, welcome to the Grey Forum. I hope you find the right grey for you.
  24. Hi John and Charlie! Welcome to the Grey family! Great pictures of Charlie!
  25. Have a wonderful Hatch Day Neytiri!
