  1. Hootie is a great name. Congratulations of your choice.
  2. I checked out the collapsible bird carrier Judy mentioned and think it will be just right for anytime my bird needs to have a sleepover with relatives. It's big and open enough so my grey can enjoy seeing everything but still be safe and confined if necessary. Thanks for the tip Judy!!!:silly: I ordered one, the large size, no shipping charges, love that; also got a boing. God I need a bird!!!! 11/15 is so far away.
  3. I like some of the ideas. Wish I was handy. I was wondering about uncooked pasta for greys. Now I know. Thanks for sharing.
  4. Val, Dave 007 knows alot about greys, I call him Dr.Flock, PM him and I'll bet he can help you. Good luck!!
  5. Well welcome hoodoo. What is your grey a Cag or Tag? We like pictures around here and looking forward to hearing all about your grey.
  6. Well sounds like you're on your way to a new friend. I hope all works out for you. Good luck.
  7. I have decals on my windows to keep outdoor birds from hitting my windows. I also use decals on my sliding glass doors so humans won't accidently bump into them also. I believe this would work for indoor birds as well. There are some pretty cool decals out there just for this purpose.
  8. Birds in flight are my most favorite pictures. Great shots of a very beautiful Cag.
  9. Hi Aaron, congratulations on your new grey. Do you have a Congo (black beak) or Timneh (bone beak)? What is your greys name? I know, I'm nosey:silly: Would love to see some pictures. Welcome aboard and relax and have fun with your new friend.
  10. I think this is a wonderful idea. It would help socialize your grey and if times are busy, help keep your customers entertained. I would however see that your grey is placed in a safe place where everyone can't be trying to touch him. Give it a try and see how it goes. Good luck.
  11. Thanks for asking this question Marie and thanks Dan for all the websites for some great hoops.
  12. No, no, no Tracy. There is so much I still need to learn and to have help with. I know you must have your reasons for stepping down, but I wish you wouldn't. You have so much knowledge and are so kind and understanding to everyone that we need you. I do wish you the best and hope any differences can be reconciled. See you our friend.
  13. Soibhan, I'm so very sorry you are leaving. I was just getting to know you. I wish you would change your mind. If you can reconcile the differences please change your mind. I will miss you.
  14. Well done to both of you. Always love your great artwork. Hope to continue to see lots more.:cheer:
  15. Congratulations on finding your CAG. I'm getting a Timneh (TAG) in mid-November so have read alot about them. The Congo is also larger than the Timneh, which for me is a plus, little things are my thing. I hope all goes well with your first visit. Please let us know all about your new friend once you get her home.
  16. Ernie is very photogenic. These are great shots. Thanks for sharing them with us.
  17. Great Job Marion. Your picture is fantastic. Can't wait to see more.
  18. I live in town and on the corner. I have told all my neighbors that I am getting a grey and they are all excited for me. But of course they are-- heh, heh,-- they all have loud dogs (my Lily is a pug and is very quiet, honestly) and since I don't complain how can they  :silly:
  19. That is one good looking bird. Thanks for sharing your beautiful photography.<br><br>Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2008/10/21 03:37
  20. This one will be a hard one for me for I believe birds were meant to fly; but the fear of my vulnerable friend getting out accidently is horrifying to me. Since from what I have read it is best to wait a couple of years for muscles to strenghten, I won't have to worry about this for awhile and can just watch him fly to his heart's content-- and quickly teach him our phone number and address just in case!!!
  21. I like the name. AnnaBella suits just fine. She is a lovely grey. I love to see any bird flying. They are so free. Thank you for sharing these great shots.
  22. Beautiful Cockatoo. He looks gorgeous among the pumpkins.
  23. Wow that's great. "One door closes another ...." I know you'll be a great new mommy for your new grey. Congratulations!!!:cheer:
