  1. Gracie is just a little lady. Loved the video. I remember your first threads Jeffnok. I love to see how your relationship with Gracie has grown and your knowledge of greys. Your threads/posts are always enjoyable.
  2. Hi Rah, getting another grey is not going to change your present grey's attitude. First of all you need to figure what the screaming is about. If it is not something physically wrong then you need to work on stopping the screaming. My zon has a little scream almost each day, it is just a time to clear his pipes, I think. My suggestion is if he is screaminig find out why. Talk to your grey, My greys listen intently if I talk to them. Relax and talk to you grey. Open his cage door and talk to him.
  3. JanMarie, stop worrying. Just relax and be gentle to this grey. Tell her what is going on and take it slow. Let her lead the way. Welcome to the Grey family!
  4. Hi Uncle Bud, welcome to the Greyforum. Great list of questions by Talon. I would only add, relax. Grey are very intelligent and very intuitive. Relax, don't move too quickly and talk to Coco to let him know what is happening. Greys are great body readers and listen and watch every move. Be confident and relaxed and Coco will be too.
  5. Fingers crossed that Nala will be a good girl!
  6. Welcome to you and Sonny Vito. Looking forward to getting to know the two of you!
  7. Hey Dennis, welcome to the Grey family! Great looking fids and enjoyed the videos. Can't wait to learn more about your birds.
  8. My birds all fly. In fact, if for any reason they fly to the floor they immediately fly up. No walkers here.
  9. My TAG, Ana Grey is now 5 years old and weighs 308 grams. When she was younger she weighed in at 280ish-291 grams. Frankly, I love her little size compared to my CAG, Sterling Gris who comes in at 508 grams, the big brute. Escher must be a real cutie, such a little guy.
  10. I love to hand chop vegetables but I also use a food processor.
  11. My parrots have a bird room, I know longer have a spare room for overnight guests, now the bird room. They sleep in their cages with the drapes closed and the lights off. They do have boings and perches throughout my home for the daylight hours which they go to from room to room as they follow me or I follow them, whichever. My office and my bedroom are off limits. I use their sleep cages when we go for overnight/weekends at my children's homes.
  12. I now also am owned by a Russian Tortoise. So he too loves his pumpkin and all the veggies my parrots get. Halloween is fun at my house.
  13. Very true TimberMom. A rainbow of colors sometimes!
  14. Woww, I guess I am lucky my parrots are quiet until I get up. Of course they have heavy drapes in their birdroom so the room is pitch dark until I open the drapes. The first thing I do is let my pug out to do her business and then make birdie breakfasts. They are waiting quietly for a dish full when I pop on the birdroom light. Patience is a virtue in my house.
  15. You need some new slippers, perhaps these:
  16. Welcome Jovan to you and Poly. Poly is a fine looking grey. Looking forward to learning more about the two of you.
  17. I do not have a name that any of my parrots call me. Although Sterling Gris will say, "Hello Gorgeous" when I give him his breakfast. He does know my pug's name, Lily, and does call Ana Grey and Louie by their names. Perhaps I will start using my name so they will perhaps call me my name. I will think about it.
  18. Please tell us more about your grey. What is his name and how do you interact with him. More details please. What is his daily routine,
  19. The "live" persons are not any better. I have been waiting for a sleeper sofa I purchased 10/05/13 which I believe is now in Seattle, Washington and has been there so the "people" say since the date it was to be delivered to me. 10/12/13. Worse than not getting my sofa is that I have received the bill, which I have informed them that I will not pay until I get my sleeper and of course, they will, "get back to me." Still waiting.......
  20. I'm sorry to hear about your need to rehome your grey. I too live too far from you to help as I would take him and return him to you if your situation ever changed. Good luck with finding Deebee the right home.
  21. Congratulations Greytness on the first flight! Big smiles for your sweet grey!
  22. About time you decided to continue this thread. Looking forward to hearing more about Dayo. He is one of my favorite greys of the forum.
  23. My three are all great flyers. My greys were clipped as weaned babies by their breeders and my zon has never been clipped. To me there is nothing more beautiful than the sound of flapping wings when my birdies come looking for me or when I call them and they come zooming in for a treat. Priceless. My canary is also flighted and comes out of his cage daily and goes back in for food or sleeping. He is separate from the parrots because Ana Grey would eat him alive if she could.
  24. Sterling Gris says "Damn Bird" now and then and I am guilty because I called him that when I was tired and not feeling well. My daughter has tried to teach him "red butt", as she loves to call him that when he dive bombs her head which is every time he sees her. So far he does not repeat.
