  1. Thanks Talon. I am very excited and will be letting you all know how it comes.
  2. Have you tried talking to your grey or playing the radio or just not sitting where your grey can see you. How is the toy or foraging situation. Frankly I have never had this problem.
  3. My son is preparing to build my outdoor aviary attached to the bird room and out the window. I understand this is the wire that would be a good choice. Help please.
  4. Glad is going well. Enjoy!!!
  5. Congrats. He is very handsome. Looking forward to watching you grow together.
  6. Order placed, still wish they would be signed copies.......
  7. Looking forward to seeing some pictures. Don't forget the pictures!!!!
  8. How exciting, can't wait. Hurrry, hurry, hurry!!!!!
  9. Glad to hear the trip went well. How did you like Oregon and Washington?
  10. Congrats to hubby. I have some young grandsons. How about info on book so I can get a copy or two. Or perhaps some signed copies........
  11. Oh I would have loved to have seem a photo of that first bathing... (hint)
  12. Cricket will be long remembered. She was beautiful with those smiling eyes.
  13. Oh I am so jealous. That is the parrot I want, a beautiful/comical looking Hyacinth. Can't wait to hear more about this adventure with us!!!! Please share......
  14. Glad to hear Nilah is okay. Sterling Gris, my CAG, a big food hound is always snacking on my plants if I don't watch out. I am a big indoor plant nut, I guess it comes from the country girl having to live in the city and needing to have things growing......
  15. Wonderful news on Levi. Can't wait to hear more about Levi's relaxing and knowing he is loved and really cared for.
  16. Louie, the zon, and Ana Grey, tag, are great flyers and are pretty good about just flying to a cabinet/boing/perch and enjoying the sunlight/geing free from their cages. Now Sterling Gris, cag, who is also a great flyer tries all the time to sneak out the door. He sees a door open and he flaps as hard as he can to get there before I close it. When I go get the mail I usually go out the patio door and when I come back in..... there is Sterling Gris, sitting/hanging on the patio drape hoping I will forget the close the door. He is always hanging on the patio drape waiting for me to forget. Lily, pug, is a blind old lady so I always let her out the patio door. I make sure the patio drape is closed because I leave the patio door opened some so Lily can get in without barking. I have to be sneaker then Sterling Gris, so far I am winning......
  17. Louie, my zon has never been clipped. He is a great flyer and never walks anywhere. Frankly all my parrots prefer to fly and never walk anywhere. Louie likes to fly onto my shoulder and nibble my ear so I just flip him off. Louie does like to follow me from room to room. He gracefully flies from one place to another. I love to listen to the flapping of parrot wings. From his cage down the hall to the kitchen and living room in one swoop/takeoff. Absolutely priceless.
  18. Congrats on your new companion. Looking forward to hearing how your two companions relate to each other.
  19. My parrots do not go to the bottom of their cages. They do drop oodles of poop and unwanted food there and it is a mess. I do not have their grates there as I do not like to clean those things and like I said my parrots do not go to the floor.
  20. Hi John and Alex. I have two greys: Ana Grey (F-tag {6 in August}) and Sterling Gris (M-cag {3}). They beak touch occasionally and share. Ana Grey is the boss and eats first and then leaves and then Sterling Gris comes in for the finish. (I give them treats while out of their cages) Sterling Gris is a big guy and a big eater. They do not fight. I also have a BF zon, Louie (6) who is the guard. He watches over everyone and occasionally Sterling Gris will shoo Louie (6) off of a perch he wants. They do not fight; they have established their own "pecking" order. I do watch them all closely after all, they are feisty healthy parrots. I have had the greys since before they were each 6 months old. They have basically grown up together. There is no guarantee that birds/parrots will get along. Personalities are different. Prior lives (other homes) were different. I consider myself lucky that my fids get along. But that's today so I watch them closely all the time. Who knows what tomorrow may bring???? I also have a male canary but he stays in his cage when my parrots are out. Ana Grey would eat him alive if she could. (see not all birds like each other).
  21. Hi Micky and Fifi. More information please. Fifi is very pretty and we love to hear about our greys. Welcome to the Grey family.
  22. Hi to you and Levi, Alexa. Looking forward to learning more about the two of you. Pictures are a big hit here (hint, hint).
  23. I have a roll of accounting tape on top of one of my fid's cages. Have for years. Great toy.
  24. Spiders or outdoor flying bird shadows on the floor/wall. I know your suspicious/inquisitive mind will find the culprit, Talon.
