  1. Welcome to you an Koku. Your new grey will be cautious at first watching you for reactions. Talk to him and tell him what you are doing or going to do. Greys are very smart creatures so have fun. My two greys are very quiet at times and noisy at others. So watch and learn.
  2. Love it. Mine is not as magnificent or as open but my birdies love it too. Hope to see more aviaries now and then.
  3. I just cleaned my bird cages, all five of them and am now relaxing with Greyforums.
  4. Magnificent! Very nice! Your parrots will learn to love it.
  5. I have been shuttering over some of the things Sterling Gris has been saying lately and I know he is not the only potty mouth in this Grey Family so come on everyone ...... What is at least one of the phrases your grey has learned from you or other members of your family/friends. Sterling Gris: The phrase is: Darn Bird. But comes out as............. Damn Bird The phrase is: Sheshe wants a cocktail. But comes out as........ Sheshe wants a cock Come on everyone share!!!!!!
  6. My gang love mists from a spray bottle. They will open their wings and get totally soaked. Give it a try a gentle fine mist does it very time for my fids.
  7. So glad you are back. When I first joined I remember your posts and great advice. I was saddened when you stopped posting SO I am delighted to have you home. Welcome back to the Grey Family and its many new family members!!!!!
  8. I live in our small town neighborhood so it is always busy around my home for Halloween and especially 4th of July with all the fireworks going off. In Washington State is legal to fly the big ones in the sky because we are a "wet state" I guess. Anyhow. For thunder and fireworks I just make sure the radio is on in the birdroom. They hear music rather than fireworks or thunder. It seems to help my gang. Good luck with finding a solution for Gizmo's discomfort.
  9. Glad to hear Bongo is "perking up". I love to see your posts because you are always so caring for your fids. Bongo is very lucky to have found such a home.
  10. Looking forward to seeing Talon's video. Happy B-day Talon!!!!
  11. Congrats on taking in an older grey. Looking forward on joining you on this new adventure.
  12. I have both. My TAG, I have had since she was weaned and she is 6 now. My CAG, I have had since weaned and is now 3 1/2. My TAG is more sure of herself and very confident. My CAG is less confident and more fearful.
  13. I can feel the disappointment and defeat in your posts. Greys are much more intuitive than most people so I believe Issac feels it much more than me. Relax and be your old self as much as humanly possible. I feel Issac isn't sure you are coming home. This plucking started when you went to the hospital if I understand. So tell Issac that you will be back. When I go to the store for off for the morning or afternoon, I always tell my gang that I will be back that I am going to the store or whatever. Talk to Issac let him know what is going on and how you are feeling. Please do not give up on his coming around. Be strong and don't give up, you are all that Issac has so be a good example and encouraging. Your relationship with Issac has always made me envious so be strong, encouraging and hopeful and perhaps so will Issac.
  14. Congrats. Can't wait to see some pictures and see updates!!
  15. I have a 6 year old TAG, Ana Grey, and a 3 year old CAG, Sterling Gris. I have had both since they were weaned. They do not interact or "play". Do not get another grey for your present grey get it for yourself not as a companion for a current grey.
  16. Your aviary will be gorgeous once it is completed. Your parrots will love it!!!!
  17. Very nice and informative intro of Bindi. Looking forward to getting to know you both. I live across the River in Washougal, WA. I totally love this fine area. Welcome to the Grey family!
  18. Very good advice from Inara. Relax and let Maggie set the pace.
  19. Very impressed. Your aviary is going to be a real winner!!
  20. Would love to see some pictures of the aviary as it is coming along.
  21. Very glad all is well. Bless Inara's little heart.
  22. Very nice to hear from you and Dayo. Dayo is always fun to listen to so keep it coming when you get a chance.
