  1. Thanks Jay, like I said the alexandrine-parakeet would not be still, but here is a picture on this site that looks a lot like it: http://www.parrot-bird.com/alexandrine-parakeet-info.html so thank you. I was able to look up the Mitred conure with the name you supplied and yup that's the bird. You are so good with knowing your birds!!!! As for the orange-winged Amazon, you have that right on as shown in the other picture I took. I should have posted this one but I thought the other was better. But now that I know the name, I can easily see the orange on the wing: This amazon's beak is very long and pointed, I hope it is healthy. Thanks for your help Jay on finding these guys' names for me. I now owe you!!!
  2. Does anyone know what kinds of parrots these are? He was very hard to get a picture of as he wouldn't be still And does anyone know what this bird is? I believe this is an Amazon, right?? Any help is appreciated as I might re-home one of these guys. Thanks Janet
  3. Hi Dan, glad to hear that you and Hermes have decided to join us. I look forward to hearing more about Hermes and seeing some pictures of your new grey when you get a chance. Welcome to the Grey family!

  6. Thanks for sharing your great flock with us Maggie!!!! they are all so lucky to have found you and Jay!!!!
  7. Congratulations on your baby Congo finally coming home!!!!! Hooray!!!!
  8. I guess I am a little confused. My grey never had a permanent leg band. It is not required. If you have chosen Oscar as your grey, I don't understand the problem if you have a deposit on him. If you can identify him and you have paid for him why is there a problem with someone else thinking he is theirs?
  9. Hi Yossi, I can't wait to hear about Buddy. Please post a thread on your Red Lored Amazon Buddy. He must have a fascinating history to go with his 37 years. I don't have an amazon of my own but maybe one day. Welcome to the forum!
  10. All kidding aside. They are lovely roses Bernie and as one of your Babes, I have posted with you enough to know that you truly love Elaine and the roses have been presented with true heart. Way to go Bernie, and Elaine is a lucky lady!
  11. Hi Cheshire Cat (great name for a potential new grey owner by the way, made me smile). Kudos to you for doing your research on greys before getting one. They are so worth the effort but only for people who have that "feathered attitude". I think you are going to be a great parront and can't wait to hear that you have finally found your grey. Welcome to the Grey family!
  12. Another lovely video of Emma and her amazing vocabulary. I always enjoy her videos.
  13. Well Hi Oscar, you certainly are a cutie. Can' t wait to hear more about you and meet your parront!
  14. My birds like fresh chopped ginger also. I mix it in their fresh veggies. So glad you have found the way Jill, no wonder Harvey loves you!!!!
  15. That's the first noises Ana Grey made at 4 months, a little yappy dog!!!!
  16. Very lovely roses Bernie, but come on now, we're all friends here, what did you do????????
  17. I do. I love this cage for my birds. The front completely opens for total and easy cleaning. Newspaper fits perfectly in the trays for easy installation and removal. Ana Grey loves the playtop where I can hang several toys. There are also 2 food bowls up there for snacks. The top tray is also removal which I love for the summer time. I would purchase this cage again, in fact I did for my ekkie! https://www.petsolutions.com/EZ-Care-Playtop-Bird-Cage-for-Medium-Birds+I45180320+C60.aspx
  18. Very lovely daughter and handsome date, Penny.
  19. Sanggay, your post made me laugh, Good job Cocoa to see that your parront is going to remain as healthy as possible!!!! It certainly sounds like Cocoa is going to see that you are going to remain around for her 75 years or so of life!!!!!
  20. Ana Grey doesn't do the laser, that's my ekkie who does that. But Ana Grey does a mean bomb whistling down and exploding!
  21. I think my Sully shows a couple of good examples. His obsession with walking over to his food bowls with finger food I give him so his food won't drop on the floor of his cage is from his former days. When I got him his feet where so filthy and crusted with poop his feet were sore. I wouldn't drop my food either in that case. Now his cage is cleaned everyday and new paper spread. Another example is: first let me explain, I don't let Sully on my arm anymore as he likes to run his tongue across my arm and "latch" on with his beak. (Because of medications I take I can't afford to bleed or get an affection.) I always use his ladder to pick him up as he still doesn't have the ability to fly. Anyway, one day and the only time I did this, I used a stick to try and pick him up to put him back into his cage. Sully saw that stick screamed and ran in sheer terror from the sight of the stick in my hand. Someone must have hit him in one of his other homes because Sully was terrified. I immediately put the stick away and got his ladder to pick him up with all the while telling him how sorry I was that I had scared him. Sully will always have a home with me as long as I am able. No one will every harm him again.
  22. Alfie certainly is a star!!!!! I love this video. Thanks for sharing your precious star with us!
  23. A leprechaun told me, O'Brien's Tower is located here and from atop this point you can see Galway Bay and the Aran Islands.
  24. Depends on what you have to drink, Bernie. What's you got????/
  25. You think that's strange, my grey won't eat anything that's messy. If it is going to get all over her beak she won't touch it! Now my rescued ekkie is diffferent, he will carry his food over to his food bowl so if it drops it falls into his bowl. All food is precious to him.
