Do you have a way to call the former owners to ask them? That's what I would do in your place. I would ask and get all the information I can about your sweet grey. What he likes dislikes and little rituals that they and your grey had together. Certainly sounds like he is settling in very happily!! Congratulations!!

I have spent the morning talking to Mike a falconer who is making some special anklets, jesses and leash just for my petite Ana Grey so I can take Ana Grey outside without a harness. I am stoked and can't wait to see if this works for my grey who totally hates a harness. The fight to get her in her harness is terrible. I am only grateful that she hates the harness so much she lets me take it off no problem. The falconry equipment I am hoping with make life simpler for both Ana Grey and me to enjoy the outdoors together!!!! I'll let you all know how it goes once I get a chance to give it a try!!!

Oh Paul how very scary and how fortunate that Murphy was indoors when the harness failed. I hope the harness maker will compensate you for this unfortunate and possible disastrous malfunction. Thank you for sharing this experience with us and for the reminder of how we all need to be vigilant and check our grey equipment on every outing. I am so glad that Murphy is home safe with his family.

My grey isn't afraid of a towel because I also play with her with a towel. She enjoys it as it is just a game to her. Her vet has commented on what a calm grey she is during her check ups.

So glad you cleared that up Bernie as I thought pasties were adhesive patches worn principally by exotic dancers or striptease performers.

I don't cover my birds cages, at any time. I like them to have fresh air and they have their own room so they can get up with the sun and go to sleep with the sun. They go to bed at 7:00 pm every night they insist.

What a very scary afternoon for Cocoa. There must have been some predator around that Cocoa could sense. I'm so glad she is safe and alright.
