Yes, Gabe is the "perfect child". He is a A+ student, going for his black belt this June, does his homework without being nagged and does his chores without complaint and always send a thank you card for any gift he receives. He is an only child of my oldest daughter and her hubby of 20 odd years. He is a sweetheart.. Kind of like his grandma!!!!!!

I have a wire travel cage that I use for my grey when I travel. As long as the bar spacing is okay for parrots why not. If you are like me, my grey is out of her cage more than in at home or on vacation. Enjoy and Alfie will be fine because being with you and your hubby is most tantamount to your grey!!! Of course there will be oodles of pictures of this camping trip to share with us, right????

I know some say greys don't like children. But like anything else there are exceptions. Ana Grey from the day she met this young man has wanted to be close to him. She flies to him whenever he comes over always flying to his shoulder. Gabriel is the only other person Ana Grey will go to voluntarily besides me. Meet 10 year-old Gabriel who has had Ana Grey's affections from day one: Perhaps Gabriel will be Ana Grey's parront one day!

Gee it's taking a long time for you to get your humans in line, Spock. My human knows that if she wants me in my cage at night she has to make the atmosphere inviting. A few healthy treats, perhaps my favorite apple or banana chips. A handful of seeds and nuts and I am a willing prisoner. So who is the manipulator here, her or me, me thinks me!!!! I get want I want, yummy treats and my human gets what she wants a nice quiet evening. Besides I get my beauty sleep!!!!!

Last summer I was really surprised when I had Ana Grey outside on a warm summer day. Was I surprised when she spread her wings and starting to kind of pant. I immediately brought her back in. I am now very careful about only taking my fids out in the AM or cooler evening and not staying out so long. I hope your baby will be fine please keep us updated on how he is doing.

Marion, someone will see see Bobby and call you, please have faith. And remember birds usually stay in their roosting spot all night until early in the morning. So if you could get a night vision pair of glasses or flashlight that might help when you get another call about your grey. Please be strong and believe. Keep looking and you will get your baby home.

My grandson is allergic to mosquito bites/bee stings. So when we use to go camping we would cover him in Avon Skin So Soft. Best insect repellent around. Also marigold plants are a great mosquito deterrent. Perhaps I will also get some venus flytrap plants for the bird room. Thanks for the heads up Professor!!!

That's like it is for Sully and Ana Grey. Sully thinks all the cages are his and I have to close Ana Grey's cage to keep him out. I have moved his cage where Ana Grey's cage is to see if he just wants her location. NO!!!! He wants her cage too!!!!! Ana Grey would rather just stay out until it is bed time!

Oh just send Tango over to my house, I have lots of stuff for her to clean out. I am a pack rat and love to go to garage sales. Come on over Tango you can clean all day!!!!!

I get a lot of my fids toys at the Dollar Store. I have gotten so I just buy toys on line from the "parrot stores" when they are on sale. For foot toys Ana Grey likes plastic bottle caps and plastic straws. Saves me a fortune in toys. The homemade Atom I made is a real hit and that just cost me $3 dollars and a few nuts and bolts!
