What a kind and loving parront you are for Pippa. Pippa is very lucky to have have found such a loving home. I look forward to getting to know you and Pippa!
I'm with Judy. There should be a law against selling unweaned baby birds to just anyone. I hope you will reconsider and purchase a grey that has been properly weaned.
Hi Angelo, very interesting video!!! Kudos to you for researching about greys before becoming a parront. There are oodles of informative threads here in the different rooms so read, read, read! Welcome to the Grey family. Can't wait to hear more from you!!
I just read the intro to this book and it looks like it might be a good read. Thanks ChelseaB.

Ana Grey has a new way for she and I to exercise together. She could do this all day if I would let her. But after picking up the discs two or three times, I get tired!!!!!

Sorry Ana Grey, you are going to have to find another sucker!!!
Oh I am so sorry for the unhappiness you seem to be going through. Perhaps some of our more experienced members can help if you can provide more information. Does Romo have a favorite person in your home? What has changed in your home that might be disturbing Romo? Do you have a new hairstyle, have you moved his cage? Basically has anything changed. Please provide as much information as you can think of that might help us understand Romo's schedule and environment or anything that might be different. From Romo's avatar it is easy to see that he is a very handsome TAG.
Hi Typhoo. Interesting introduction I might say!!! I look forward to hearing more about you and seeing some pictures if you have any to share. Welcome to the Grey forum!!
Questions about an unweaned grey should be in the Nursery Room. Please post your questions there Jgolden. Frankly, in my opinion, breeders who "get rid of" or sell an unweaned baby bird to an inexperienced person is a barbarian and should be ban from breeding anything. Forgive my outburst but this topic just makes me want to cry. Thank God we have such wonderful breeders and rescue people on our forum who do their best to help in these situations.
I have an older eclectus that is a bad plucker. Thanks to Dave007, I have started misting him with aloe vera juice and it seems to be helping him alot. There are oodles of threads about aloe vera juice so please take a look at them. Perhaps that will help Piper also.
I agree it is a shame that we can't tell the age of our re-homed greys/fids unless we can follow their history. As for my eclectus I know he is at least 10 years old. The owner of the pet shop had him and tried to re-home him for 7 1/2 years. He was found in a car wash and the pet shop was called to come get him. I have had Sully for about a year-and-three months. He was not a baby when he was found and was already a plucker so I guess he is at least 10. I say he is older than the hills because he just acts old. He doesn't play but like to be with me and wants to be in a cage. He must have the lights out at 7:00 pm or he screams bloody murder. I wish I knew how old he is.
