Nice to meet you!!! If you are in a household with a B & G you must be very familiar with big parrots. To me that in itself is a plus albeit greys and B & G are two very different birds. Well that makes things different. I didn't realize the guy got to see the grey and interact with him. Now that I have the whole scoop I, of course, revise my thoughts on the couple. My mistake.

Very nice. The only thing Ana Grey does is shake foot to hand, if I say "shake".

Ana Grey only talks to me or only my oldest grandson besides me has every really heard her talk (he gives her pecans and she loves him for it). She does love to talk when I am on the telephone so my family has heard her talk long distance, so to say!

This is my personal opinion. But it sounds to me like the person/people who found a grey have decided they want to keep it. If I had lost a grey in their area I would do a reverse number on the telephone number and get an address then I would call up the man who lost his banded grey and the see if he wanted to take a trip with me to check out this grey. If the people won't let you see it perhaps it is also not banded and it could be Mino! These peoples actions seem rather strange to me and I would leave no stone unturned!

Anything to chew or throw is a favorite of Ana Grey. I buy the plastic golf practice balls for my fids, they are inexpensive, light and my birds love to toss or chew on them.

These are great pictures and it is great they seem to be getting along. I have a large ZON and my little TAG and I am very leery of leaving them alone as they are both dominate personalities. I hope your two fids continue to respect each other as they look marvelous together!

During the wedding rehearsal, the groom approached the pastor with an unusual offer: "Look, I'll give you $100 if you'll change the wedding vows. When you get to the part where I'm supposed to promise to 'love, honor and obey' and 'be faithful to her forever,' I'd appreciate it if you'd just leave that out." He passed the minister a $100 bill and walked away satisfied. On the day of the wedding, when it came time for the groom's vows, the pastor looked the young man in the eye and said: "Will you promise to prostrate yourself before her, obey her every command and wish, serve her breakfast in bed every morning of your life, and swear eternally before God and your lovely wife that you will not ever even look at another woman, as long as you both shall live?" The groom gulped and looked around, and said in a tiny voice, "Yes," then leaned toward the pastor and hissed: "I thought we had a deal." The pastor put a $100 bill into the groom's hand and whispered: "She made me a better offer."

Yep, my Ana Grey talks a couple times a day and the rest she is exploring or causing mischief. She wakes me in early AM with her repertoire of words and then goes quiet, with an occasional word, asking for apples or nuts or asking what I'm doing, and then talks up a storm again in the late afternoon.

Thanks chezron! I still have a couple of the nut and bolt toys. Louie loves to twist them apart so I keep loosing nuts. Their being all stainless steel, they can get spendy to replace!!! Louie loves to climb and hang on all the perches in the bird room. He still stays in the bird room although the door is always open. Strange guy but he is out of his cage first thing every morning. He is a busy big zon. He has slimmed down some and looks very handsome. He is a re-home that has worked out beautifully even though he and Ana Grey still have territory issues.

Oh my, it is beautiful and sunny here although the temperature is 43º and no snow!!!!!
