  1. I enjoy hearing about you and Issac, Stephen. I understand your relationship with Issac as my Ana Grey is the light of my life! Keep the stories/posts coming!!!
  2. So Dave, am I wrong to believe that Ana Grey would get along better with a female than a male grey. My goal is not to change her role in the flock, she is the boss and very bossy when it comes to these male birds. My concern is that a CAG is so much larger, (especially a male) than a TAG. Ana Grey is still only 297/298 grams at 2 1/2 years. It would break my heart if anything happened to my little lady.
  3. Well, I am disappointed. I e-mailed my CAG breeder to see how much, taxes and all, she needed to pay off my account in anticipation of my new baby Isabella. I get back an e-mail telling me all the babies were male!!!!! I would stake her life on the fact that she told me she had three females!!!! I have to wait to see if the next older babies are perhaps female! I guess mail-order is second priority to hand-delivery!!!! She did say she had two older males ready, but I wanted a female, she did give me a choice to choose!!!! I do understand that TAGs and CAGs are not supposed to breed but I just don't want any hankie-pankie between Ana Grey and a new grey. I hope there is a female in the next three!!!! Names chosen, Isabella or Irene.
  4. That a sweetheart!!!!!! I looked at some of the older Golden Conure videos and my, they are beautiful birds!!!!!! Just gorgeous!!!!
  5. Great pet pages Sherrie!!!! Thanks for sharing your gorgeous/handsome companions with us!!!!
  6. Oh Happy Hatchday Linus, so glad you could share this with us all!!!!!! My wish for you are many, many, many, many, many........ more!!!!!!
  7. This is wonderful, you and Bob are bonding beautifully!!!! Having trust and confidence are the best gifts you can give Bob!!! Congratulations!
  8. When Ana Grey lowers her head she wants a tickle/scratch and I always happily oblige!
  9. I can't wait to see some pictures of Bob!!!! Sounds like he has decided that he is already a part of your family!!!! He seems to trust you so you are doing all the right things in Bob's book. Good job!
  10. For sure Bob needs a new cage the sooner the better. Why wait, new life, new home, new parront, I believe Bob will appreciate his better life!!! And don't forget some toys, my grey loves chewy toys!!!
  11. An update please, I so want Mino found and returned to you!!!!
  12. Amy is very handsome! I can't wait to hear more about him! And Louie, my BFA is like an overladen helicopter when he flies, but he hovers beautifully with those gorgeous feathers the BFAs have!!!
  13. Deciding what I want to eat for lunch!! YUM!
  14. Great introduction to you and your flock!!!!! I look forward to hearing about your zon in the Amazon Room. I have a Timneh grey, Ana Grey, and am looking forward to bringing a Congo into my home. Hope you find the right grey for you! Welcome to the Grey Family!!!
  15. Big welcome to you and Monty! You have come to the right place for information. We have a Cage & Home Room and a Homemade Toys & Playstands Room and other places to visit for all kinds of information about greys! Enjoy and read, read, read! And of course ask away and we will see what we can do for you!!!!
  16. Not something any of my parrots do. Perhaps he is lacking something in his diet. I would ask his avian vet.
  17. My Ana Grey also hates a dirty face. She will wipe her face/beak if she gets even a dab of food on it. She will eat moist food, some anyway but must wipe her face after every bite. Go figure!!!
  18. I have heard of salt licks for other animals but never for a bird. So glad you came to the forum before believing the guy in the pet store!
  19. Hi Mygrey, welcome to the Grey family!!! Can't wait to hear more about your new grey. Pictures please!
  20. I have boings and ceiling perches with hanging and foraging toys where I sit and relax. She also likes to sit on the top of my computer screen or the back of my desk chair. Ana Grey is happy as long as she can see me!
  21. Relax everyone, by saying I would start up at 65, it gave me something to look forward to, remember I have an artificial aortic heart valve, be 35 years this May!!!!
  22. Well then perhaps because you show body language that is not confident, Elliot is "latching" on with his beak because he wants to make sure you do not move away and he really wants to be with you. Ana Grey sometimes "beaks" me to make sure my arm is sturdy. I always offer an arm for perching. If my grey bites me I let her know she is not being very nice. To me, how do you change a bad behavior if you don't tell anyone about it! So far Ana Grey has only nibbled at me, she has only give me warning nibbles and never bitten me, yet!!!! Ana Grey knows what "that's not nice" means and if I do something she doesn't like she tell me, "that's not nice" or "stop it, be good". So our greys understand us and they are great at body language. So enjoy your baby, relax and have fun and Elliot will too!!!!
  23. Great pictures of Greyson and what a great sport he is!!!!! He must be a real charmer. Congratulations!!!!
  24. Congratulations on your baby boy, Elliot! Judy is so right, you just need to relax around Elliot. My Ana Grey loves my two grandsons all to pieces and flies to their shoulders whenever they are around. Funny thing, neither one is a "bird person". All my children are cat people, go figure!!!!
  25. Hi birdsAreGrey8, congrats on your new baby!!! Have you come up with a name for your little man??? Welcome to the Grey Family!!!
