  1. Hi Geoff, it's wonderful that you have given a Coco a new forever home. He sounds like he has been very loved and is a relatively happy guy. I look forward to learning more and hearing more about him. Welcome to the Grey family! Pictures when you get a chance!
  2. Bravo Penny, your perseverance is marvelous and I just know in the end bedtime will become more enjoyable for both of you! Well done!
  3. Wow that's a lot of goodies in his cage! Make sure he has room to spread his wings and flap them. They do need to be able to move around freely. Archimedes is certainly a very handsome grey. I look forward to hearing more about his homecoming. I know you are very excited and greys pick on the "vibe" so just relax. My greys like me and certain of my kids so just enjoy him and relax so he knows he can be safe and secure with you. Your pictures are great!
  4. Congrats on the chop! What no pictures of the event?????? LOL!!!
  5. I look for baby toys for my parrots. I believe if they are safe for our small children they have to be all right for my fids.
  6. Hi Singapore, your TAG is gorgeous and I look forward to hearing more about Kiki and your sweet conure. I have to say I visited your Singapore aquarium years back and loved it. One of my fondest memories was walking underwater with the fishes and sharks!!
  7. Aww Dave you are doing just fine by yourself. I didn't know you were so domestic. I am impressed! I will say that I only use teflon for my sunnyside up breakfast eggs. To me, as long has you attend your teflon pan all the time while cooking you should have no problems. I also always turn on my stove fan while using my teflon pan and I have an exhaust fan in my hall if necessary. My parrots don't hang on me while I cook either.
  8. Air drying is best. A blow dryer dries out a grey's skin. Bathe your parrot early enough that he can air dry comfortably.
  9. It's wonderful to hear that Oliver is doing so well in your care. My gang love snap peas and slivers of cheddar cheese. I love these updates. Keep on sharing Oliver's progress with us, it is so good to hear when a sweet parrot gets a break in life. Fingers crossed with the new vet.
  10. Love it when our greys love their baths! Great looking pictures!
  11. Congrats on Archimedes first flight! How thrilling! It is so much fun to watch the young ones learn something new every day. Can't wait to hear how Archimedes' homecoming goes. Hooray!
  12. Great looking veggies! I love to chop my parrots fresh veggies but I use a butcher knife. Love it!!!
  13. My parrots were only quarantined on the first day, mostly so the new parrot got to know me first. I wanted them to bond with me first not each other and so I would know a new parrot's personality and quirks. Each did go to the avian vet within the first week, for my peace of mind and for a wellness check.
  14. My parrots fight all the time. Ana Grey, the smallest in the boss, she always has been as she is fearless. Although the other two are larger than Ana Grey she is the quickest and the one in charge. I watch them constantly. Ana Grey "owns" my left shoulder and my right shoulder is used by either Sterling Gris or Louie. It's funny to hear Sterling Gris, the youngest but largest of my parrots, scream when one of the other two "pick" on him. The funny thing is that they never fight in the bird room or when I am away from them. They do understand the meaning of "no fighting" because they are always into trouble about picking on each other and always stop the moment I say, "no fighting". They never really try to hit each other just get the other away from where the other wants to be. Ana Grey is usually the "winner" as she is the most aggressive and has I said, the quickest. None of my parrots bites me when I give one of the others attention, they fight each other, not me.
  15. Great update about Chili Pepper. I love hearing about all our amazons. They are so different than a grey and bring their own joy into our lives!
  16. Great pictures of Chili Pepper. What a gorgeous zon. I look forward to hearing what Chili Pepper has been up to lately! (hint, hint)
  17. Hi Lonnie, welcome to you and your great looking flock! I look forward to hearing more about your parrots. We do have an Amazon Room so I am looking forward to see pictures of and hearing about Bozo. Our zons are such little clowns! And please do post some pictures of Prescious in the Other Birds room and, of course, your grey Shikoba is quite handsome/gorgeous so pictures please. Welcome to the Grey family!
  18. Sylia is lovely! Thanks for sharing her with us!
  19. Oh thank God, Oliver has found you and has a new and loving home. I look forward to watching Oliver heal and grow strong.
  20. Hi Julia, oh I am so envious, Greece is a country that I have for so long wanted to visit!!! Your Sylia sound like a wonderful little lady so I look forward to learning more about her. From her picture it looks like she is also handy with tools! LOL! Welcome to the Grey family!
  21. I think there has been a misunderstanding. It is all right to post pictures in the Grey Lounge that are part of a post. If it is incorrect, then as the moderator of the Grey Lounge I have been committing a major faux pas every time I have started a new thread because I post pictures of my babies all the time!! So please feel free to post pictures in the Grey Lounge all you want!!!

    CAG Treats

Unsalted pistachios are expensive here also, that's why they are a treats My parrots also like fresh snap peas in the shell to nibble on as a treat.
