1. Good for you. I was lucky and Charlie took to pellets with ease,I was very surprised. He was seven months old when I got him and was being fed seed.He was eating pellets as soon as I gave them to him but I changed his diet over a few weeks. :cheer:
2. Thanks for letting us know Steph
3. I am sorry you have had such a horrible time. My thoughts and preyers go out to you and your family. I let Charlie come out of the cage on his own,he does step up out side the cage when asked but is very reluctant to step up from in side the cage.If charlie is on the very top of his cage play stand I use a stick or a small kitchen stool to retrieve him. I think the extra height gives me the advantage over him.
4. Merlin is coming in to his own, Congratulations,he is a character.
5. I think you need to see or speak to a vet asap. I believe you only got him a few days ago.Are you feeding him yourself? Is his cage New?I am thinking he is being sick, could be a few things. Keep him warm and quiet and get to a vet
6. You have the most loving caring personality. All your borrowed animals are blessed to spend time in your care however long or short that time may be.

9. Welcome back Toni. We all missed you. I can empathise with your decision to hold off on surgery for a while. It is a lot to take on after all you have been through. Look after yourself .
10. Hi Rachel. Those babies are CUTE. You will find lots of information hear and ask all the question you wish. I like African names aswell. Dont know why my grey is called Charlie, it is just him.
11. I guess all jobs have a down side. I have just seen the down side in yours. I feel for you and the poor birds.
12. I agree that it is time to go with your head and not the heart. You could end up with massive vet bills and at the end heartbreak, look for a healthy grey where you can start on the right foot.
13. Well done for sorting the problem.
14. Congratulations on Chico coming home Dan. He is gorgious.
15. I think african greys are called that because they are grey. I dont agree with messing about with genetics to that extent. I also agree that the dog world is awash with breeds that have serious health problems breed in to them

Post edited by: she, at: 2009/01/16 23:10

Baby Murphy

Murphy is too cute for words.I would be at the breeders 24/7.
17. George sounds adorable. He will be a challange but I know you can rise to that.It sounds like you are making progress already. He seems like he is right at home and happy.
18. Ok you can have a laugh I am a fork lift truck driver.I work in Jacobs food factory. Go on get the cracker jokes over with:P
19. Hiya Welcome to you all. I am sure you will find all you want hear. Its very informative as well as fun.
20. Haley its great news you got the too. Sounds like the proper diet will sort things out. Wondered why you had not been around. The wii is great, I have been on my nephews and loved it. I was total rubish though. It was some car race thing, I kept crashing and going the wrong way. Things are still quiet i work but thats usual for us this time of year.
21. This is just a thought but did your vet test Leo for metal poisoning. An x rey will show up any tiny bits of metal in the crop or lower down. I dont know it is just that my tiel had it and was showing similar symptoms. He to was eating like a horse.
22. Good luck with your new baby grey. It wont replace Molly but will help fill a hugh void. The liver infection could and probabley did come from the pet shop but proving it is another thing.
