Concerning pain and shock: Check with you avian vet if it would be all right to add a couple of drops of Rescue Remedy to the drinking water. This is a Bach Flower combination that I have used personally and with other animals. It is non-toxic but it does contain a small amout of ethanol.
Precious slept on the water bowl for a long time, but now I see her on the boing occasionally. I tnink it's a bird thing in choosing a sleeping spot.
Precious was a gift to my husband from our 16 year old grand-daughter for his birthday. Little did I know I would be her person less than four years later.
When I see photos of the destruction in Brazil I feel sick all over. The government seems helpless to prevent it on one hand and on the other is contributing to it. Manaus is the city where we lived and it was carved out of the rain forest. Photos from space show the vast fires and bare areas that once were lush forests.
I'm going to repeat what has been said a "zilion times" to me, that is, "patience, patience, patience." And "slow and easy!" Chalie is still very young and it will take time and PATIENCE! I know others can help you more than I!!! B)
Sorry I don't have the info. However, if that isn't enough what about using blue spectrum lamps? Does anyone know about them???

Post edited by: kittykittykitty, at: 2008/08/15 20:40
