  2. I'm so sorry about your brother dying. My CAG started the scream one day while I was vacuuming her room. Now I close her door when cleaning in the other part of the house, and move her when cleaning her room. Is it possible that some sound in the kitchen is setting Webster off, blender, food processer, garbage disposal, etc.? Or is it when he sees your nephew? Are there any other changes that have happened in yur life? Hopefully yoy can find the trigger soon. It would be a tragedy for both you and Webster if he had to move.
  3. I am so, so sorry!!! :( The others have given you good advice. We are here to support you.

  8. Too bad your bird won't eat brown rice. That's what my vet recommended with lentils and other legumes. The staff at the local bird farm said I did not need to feed meat since I don't eat it.
  9. Welcome Elozano! Yayo is beautiful!:cheer:
  10. Welcome, darth-mint. Greys have a way of making a person know they were meant for each other as you have discovered. Everyone here has been very helpful to me. I'm sure you will find it the same. The best with your new companion. :)
  11. You can try Zout (the squirt bottle, not the spray), Oxy-Clean, hydrogen peroxide, Nature's Miracle, white vinegar, not all at once. Follow instuctions on the commercial stuff. You can tell I've tried a lot and not all stain comes out of all fabric. Others may have better solutions. When desperate and the fabric and color will allow, I have used chlorine bleach, keeping it away from my CAG and rinsing as many as 12 or more times. I know, I'm crazy!
  12. How sad not to be allowed to fledge!
  13. Laurie, good for you! Every pound counts!! :cheer:
  14. Congratulations on having Rexxy home!
  15. Ya'll are too,too funny! It's the SMART ones that, as Frank Sinatra sang, "did it my (parrots') way!"
  16. Please listen to those who have had a lot of experience.
  17. Good morning to the two of you!:cheer:
  18. Hello, Lanibird, and wlcome! I'm looking forward to more about your Grey and other family members! :)
  19. I have read that clipping can cause falling, also. Have you padded the floor of the cage- old well washed,no fabric softener, towels or well washed reversible rugs not rubber backed? At least that would soften the fall. I know it means extra laundry! Others have addressed the time for new feathers, etc.
  20. So sorry! At least try the food.
