Finished reading last night and I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Some parts were really funny - Wesley giving someone the no-nos, unscheduled baths!! But some of it, some of the things he did were so unbelievable! I think if I hadn't known Alfie when I read this, I would have thought it a bit far-fetched!, but knowing what Alf is capable of made it a better read for me. I found this on Youtube If you're looking for a good book, I'd say any bird person would enjoy this. Thanks again Cassandra for letting us know about this. x

Hi ZippityV! Welcome. Most definitley Karma to you for rehoming this lovely lad! As far as diet goes, he hasn't really had one - so weaning him off crap and onto a healthy pellet diet maybe straightforward (famous last words!) just gradually introduce your pellets of choice and hopefully he will lap it up along with his new loving routine! As for the name - give it a week or so and his name will come to you! He will strike you as being a Tom, Dick or Harry (or so forth!) He sounds like a real sweetie, and I'm so happy that he has found a loving home with you - he must have been so griefstricken when his owner died. Keep us informed of his progress please. Alfie tried a natural shower once, when she was rejecting all other types of bath! It went down just as well as any other wet encounter! I think if she were exposed to it regularly and gently - like in an outdoor aviary where she had a choice - she may come to like it!
