  1. I think Janets right here - favourite treats and toys, and patience patience patience Marion. What you need to do in effect, is regain Bobby's trust in this strange new environment. Even if that means just sitting where she can see you and talking to her. This is good news though, looking forward to hearing from you again, with even better news.
  2. Janet, this is the only one she will use at the minute! SHe does have sort of a wheel thingy, but that's lying unloved at the minute.......
  3. Give it a rest Steven. Coming late to this thread, I see Jill and Jay have asked for it to be locked. Just let it be.
  4. Hello Heather! And Welcome! How great that you have joined us - it's so exciting getting a baby grey home - can't wait to hear all about him! You sound as if you have really done your homework, but don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions. There's always someone here who is willing to help out! Looking forward to seeing some pics of your baby when you get him home. Lyn & Alfie x
  5. Yes Janet - 3.27 is a little early - best wait till 3.30 perhaps!?? Lol!!!!
  6. Oh yes! Several! Cheers!!!!!
  7. Ah bless - my grey can make me laugh in sad moments - go and watch her pinging the pong! x
  8. I did too Penny - I hope that's ok. Just wanted to let her know there may be a breakthrough.
  9. Sooooo......... Xcelprinting what's the latest on the Macs? Believe it or not, we really do care how you are getting on with them. We are just passionate about birds. Seriously though folks, criticism is fine so long as it's constructive - sarcasm - never good. That's not what this forum is about. Lets keep it real folks.
  10. Oh my goodness that would be wonderful - please let it be so! Thanks Jack for getting in touch here! Please keep us posted!
  11. What a great update Maggie - Salsa sure is a stunning looking bird - and a character too! I love the pics of her with the two spoons! Priceless!
  12. Hi Caitlin. Man, that's a bit of a toughie, but I think you know what you have to do. You know your baby will be well taken care of, and maybe the old adage of "absense makes the heart grow fonder" will apply here, and you will come home to find Daddy has been kicked into touch and you are the flavour of the month!! Let us know how the visit goes.
  13. No Jill, it can't have been you - I always remember everything you ever say! Lol - so why do you keep doing it? Once was enough for me!!!
  14. A few weeks ago, I came across a thread, (I'm really sorry, but can't remember who wrote it,) advising that you shouldn't kiss your grey when he's been eating chillis. DUH!!!!! Obviously!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeell, (do you know what's coming now??!!) We were in the shower and whenever Alfie says "step up" in there, I always let her and give her a kiss. Needless to say, tonight when it happened I had completely forgotten I had given her a birdseye chilli to keep her going till tea was ready, and MAN!! Did my lips smart!!! Lesson learned - and I'm sorry once more, to whoever it was that had given the warning - I'll pay more attention in the future!!
  15. You're welcome Judy! What question? I've looked but not sure what you mean! Jan, I just put whatever she is into, in there - sometime whe will go long enough without looking at it, then all of a sudden she goes daft for it!
  16. Happy Birthday Penny! Hope you have a lovely day! Lyn & Alfie xx
  17. What beautiful birds, and they sure are tight. Hopefully the screaming will settle as they do - they must be pretty scared with all the change. I imagine some Tlc and understanding from you will help to put them at ease.
  18. That's all right Dee, we'll let you off with it this once, just don't let it happen again!! Lol - Just kidding! We understand that there are those who have a life outside of the Forum!! It's good to hear Kopi had some productive bonding time while you were away, but a little disheartening when you realise the house hold can survive without you! Only temerarily though, I'm sure! How great that shoulder time must have been for you! The first of many! So great to hear from you - you have been missed! Looking forward to the birthday pics! x
  19. Sorry to be thick Dave, but what above stickys. And what is a sticky anyway? (I'm having a blonde moment)
  20. Hi Keegan, I don't know much about this - my own vet didn't recommend anything so I assumed it was not neccesary. Thanks for this post. I haven't come across one like it yet. :-)
  21. I have to say I prefer using photobucket too - bigger pics right there in the thread that you don't have to click to see. It is a little bit grrr having to upload them to photobucket first, but if you resize them in, say, your paint programme first, it doesn't take two ticks to upload them and you're set! Janet that is a great looking Jolly ball - I'm sure I had something similar for the horses once! Smashing! Thanks for sharing.
  22. Aah this is the loveliest video Jayd - and I've never seen it before. Thanks so much for posting it - it's perfect proof of how a grey and a too can get along - although no guarantee obviously, that two similar birds would hit it off in the same way, but I would think you've answered xcelprintings question quite beautifully.
  23. I do too Sheila, but like Jill, the only chorus we get here are Seagulls, with starlings and sparrows on backing vocals! Thank goodness I have the horse field to go to for my daily "nature" fix! There's nothing like starting the day with birdsong to get you off on the right track! Glad you all enjoyed it - it was sooooo worth getting up in the middle of the night!!!
