Every morning while eating breakfast, my birds listen to Birds on Broadway, by Ani Melodies. Bingo (CAG) dances and whistles along. They all love it. I ask him if he wants to hear his music and he starts bobbing his head -- so cute!

I have a DYH and she is so sweet! She will be 1 on April 15th and we have had her since the end of July. Actually, she is my sons bird and she loves him dearly. We would go to the shop and he would feed her before she was weaned, so they bonded really well. She calls him all of the time and loves to sit on her t-stand in his room and watch him play games or watch tv. I think they are wonderful and wouldn't trade ours for anything.

I have a CAG and also an Eclectus - they are so sweet and beautiful, mine is a male. Wouldn't trade any of them for the world. -

What a funny story! Plus the video was great! Laughed my head off - Thanks for sharing to both of you. The little bird shop that I go to all of the time has a Amazon that is also an escape artist - He got out of his cage one night and proceeded to let everyone else out to. The next morning when the owner came in, she was meet with Cockateils, Finch, and most of the other birds in the shop. Not to mention the fact that they all helped themselves to food and had a great time playing with (chewing up) the toys. I just happened to go in that day and she was in a tizzy!!! It was so funny, ---- but not really. Talk about eating up the profits!

Jadewolf, you have really gotten some good advice from everyone - Please listen to them. I cannot imagine the hurt you have been through, and I would be just as mad. This breeder is not worth you getting in trouble over. I would find someone to go there and pretend to be interested in purchasing a bird (would she recognize you?) and take all of the pics and get any info I could, then report her in a heartbeat! Good luck to you - please let us know how it goes -

I think it sounds like a wonderful idea, but it does not mean that the two will like each other. That is how I got my grey - the woman had a female and felt she needed a mate. Well, she got Bingo and they HATED each other. Not trying at all to discourage you, but wanted you to be aware. That certainly doesn't mean that it would be that way for you either. I have gotten an Amazon and Eclectus since my grey and they do not bother one another, but I cannot put them all together either. I wish you the best in whatever decision you make. BTW, love the name!

When I took out my Santa this year, I thought it would be really neat to see my birds reactions - since this was there 1st Christmas with us. I have about a 5 foot Santa that sings and dances, I sat him in the bird room and turned it on and you would have thought my grey had been attacked by a wild animal or something. I found out quick that he did not like it! But, my Amazon didn't mind it at all, she actually climbed on Santa and chewed off one of his fingers--- Poor Santa --- and to think how good he was to all of them this year!

You are a truly wonderful person to try so hard to find her previous owners. I know that if I lost my CAG, I would sure hope that someone like you would be the one to rescue him.

Thanks Dave, I knew you would come thru!! Yes, I know there is not a problem with the bird - just a very fast dog! She just went to the vet about a month ago for her yearly check-up and everything was fine. Just didn't know how bad it could be for her and if anyone else had this problem. Thanks again --

Let me just say that you all are great! I get the biggest kick from reading this forum! :cheer:

I have a problem with my dog eating bird droppings - as much as I try to clean them up as soon as I see them she still seems to beat me to it. I know this can't be good for her! My birds stay out of the cage alot and as you all know, everything doesn't allways fall in the bottom of the cage. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you handle it.

I also throw away any peanuts found in bird seed and only give human grade peanuts as a treat once in awhile. They do love them so much. But, I believe they love almonds just as much and so much better for them as a treat.

Bingo will not say anything in front of anyone but my immediate family! If someone comes to visit, he just sits silently until he sees them walking out of the door and then he might wistle or something! Thats it!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! YOU ARE A BEAUTIFUL BOY!

Thanks for sharing your video! Bingo would eat me alive if I tried to hang him upside down.:cheer: So much fun to watch---beautiful fellow!

I sure wish I could record Bingo - sometimes he says things in a real deep voice and I have yet to figure out what he is saying! I've only heard him a few times go to the deep voice and tonight he did it while I was in the kitchen - thought I might have caught some of it and not really sure that they are good words  , but can't be sure! One thing is for sure, there is never a dull moment! :cheer:

Hi Brian Welcome to the forum. It is a wonderful place to ask all of your questions - really great and knowledgable people here. I have a grey also that hates to get wet, but I have a smaller cage that I put in my shower and he will set on the perch in there. Thats the only way I can give him a bath. But he will take a bath in his water dish, makes a real big mess - can take him straight to the shower and still wants nothing to do with it. Go Figure

I wish I could, but I have 4 birds now and have reached my limit - I love all of mine, they are all wonderful! Would love to see these little ones find good homes.
