  1. Those pictures of Ecko are just so cute! At least he is cleaning the table up after he has made a mess lol:P
  2. Erika, I do hope this passes for you and things go back to normal. Everyone has offered great advice! Lets hope some of the advice will help you. Keep us all posted:)
  3. Maybe ring round the local vets as well and see if there have been any reports of a missing Amazon. At least the owners would know where to come and look.
  4. Jill, he will be fine! He may be fed up for a couple of weeks, but I dont really see an alternative. I had the same problem last year when I went away for a week, my husband looked after the birds and he cant get them back in the cages. They were so pleased to see me when I got back and I missed them so much! I hope you have a great holiday and dont worry about Harvey, its great he is staying with someone he knows and you can trust, thats more important.
  5. Great pictures Dave, your Alfie is a good looking boy:)
  6. My middle grey is my cuddlebug, he follows me from room to room and will kiss me every so often. He loves to be stroked and will let me touch him all over. He is my big baby and I love him to bits:kiss:

  12. Thanks everyone. I did think about insurance and evrything and will definetly look into this over the weekend, its exciting and scary at the same time to change your job, especially with the climate as it is at the moment, I will let you know what I:) decide.
  13. {Feel-good-0002006E} Only problem is Judy my friend is about 3 sizes smaller than me, we will look like before and after weight watchers lol.
  14. Just wanted everyones thoughts on my idea. I have been doing dispensing in a pharmacy for quite a few years now, not a bad job but just lately I have thought of changing to something which will make a bigger difference to someone. I have been approached through a friend to think about taking on a carers role. There is a gentleman she knows who has had a stroke, this affects his mobility and obviously his independence. He is looking for someone to visit, care for him, take him to appointments etc and I think just wants a bit of company to be honest as well. The money would be less than what I normally earn but I thought of maybe advertising and doing this for a few people and thought it would be more rewarding by feeling that I have made a difference to someones life. Should I stick with what I know in a secure job or take the risk and try something different that will actually benefit someone else and their quality of life. I would love to hear your thoughts:)
  15. Well this is funny, I bought a lovely dress which I am normally a trouser person, just found out my friend whos birthday it is has the exact same dress:laugh: Back to the drawing board for me lol

Just finished work for the week and gonna do some cleaning this afternoon when Ive picked the kids up from school. Then chill on here tonight with a small glass or three:P I have a night out tomorrow and Im not sure if I am looking forward to it or not! Its my friends birthday and they are going on a pub crawl and nightclubbing:ohmy: Ive not been in a club for about 8 years lol! Ive had to buy a going out little number (which is so not me) Im used to slobbing about in jeans covered in bird poop lol. I am gonna either love it our hate it! Whats everyone else got planned for the weekend? Have fun everyone whatever you are doing:)
  20. Great photos! Keep them coming they are fantastic:)
  21. That is so funny! I can just picture it now, karma coming your way for the laugh, I needed one:P
  22. Everyone has offered great advice! Another thing to remember is the location of the perches, depending on the age of your baby and how steady they are, you may have to lower the perches to start off with, gradually making them higher as your baby gets older and learns his climbing skills. If he is clumsy you can always place a towel on the bottom of the cage to cushion any falls, you can cover this with newspaper to catch any mess. Cant wait to hear more about your new arrival, keep us posted:)
  23. Thats great:) Like Judy said we want to see pictures:whistle:
