  1. My husband is also an I&C Engineer... So I actually know what you are talking about
  2. That is sweet... next she will be wanting a pedicure and some pink nail polish! I am so glad her foot is improving though.
  3. Be careful with grapes. Oisin loves them too, but gets very bad dirrohea with them. He can have 2 max in a day, and then none the next day. Problems arise, when I give him 2, and then my daughter gives him 2, and then his daddy gives him 2. You get the picture !!!! He also eats cooked vegetables. The frozen mixed veg is really handy. Put a handful in a cup, cover with cling film and microwave for a couple of minutes. Let it cool, and Dinners Ready!!!
  4. Congratulations on the 1000 posts Mark! No hummingbirds in Ireland either.

    Facebook

That is so sad Mark, but very comforting at the same time. I am thinking of you. My very best regards at this sad time.
  6. Wow That is one very lucky bird. You need to keep the ring neck quarantined for at least a month if not 2. And you will need to get it vet checked. Do you think you might find the owner? Some one is probably missing their baby!
  7. Do you have any videos of Bella? She sounds hysterical. I would love to see her antics!
  8. Dave007 wrote: {Feel-good-0002006E} You are a scream Dave... you write this so seriously!!!
  9. Obivously the author of this poem has met my greys:P Very funny thank you!!!
  10. Thats a great photo!! Looks like he has most of his feathers anyway.
  11. Yes, I am definitely with you on this one. Thats why anything I cook for them is super fast. Even the bean casserole! I keep the dry ingredients in a tupperware container, decant a little the night before, and boil it up the next day. Only takes about 10 seconds of my time! And traceys Baked potato one I incorporated into our usual evening meal. The only extra work was adding the juice and cheese Anything I make for them that does require time, I make big batches of and freeze it.

    tea??

Bad... I wouldnt let her if I were you. Milk isnt good for her either. How about giving her a glass of apple juice? I give mine some juice in an egg cup...keeps them out of my tea cup! Welcome to the forum by the way!
  13. Hi John Welcome to the forum. How exciting a new baby in our midst!! Please send us some photos when you get some We have some really cool grey names here on the forum. Some of my favourites (apart from my own of course) are Dusty, Biggles and Monster!
  14. I am sorry FairY:( Liath is sitting in the middle of a big vase of gladioli and in the second picture the flowers are all over the table.
  15. Aaawwww He is GORGEOUS... ok so I am slightly biased cos I love my Beaker too! You are going to have sooo much fun with him. Their reputation for being a clown is well deserved. Our little guy should have been a break dancer... spinning around on his back playing with a bottle cap with his feet and beak... sooo cute! Welcome to the forum Jack:P
  16. I always open my windows with no ill effects so far Since I can't use smelly candles and the like, I find the quickest way to freshen up the house is open the windows for 30 minutes or so. The greys cage is in a corner where the breeze from the window would actually pass them by. If they want to get out of the breeze they can.
  17. It was all they had in stock (no prizes for guessing WHY it was all they had ). If I ever get her DNA tested and she turns out to be a he, I might have some explaining to do.
  18. Gulp! Maybe I will wait a while... There is relative peace in the house... why mess with that?
  19. Adorable! Thank you for sharing! Awwww:)
  20. Welcome to the forum Lesley. I have a caique as well, but I havent been brave enough to let him meet the greys... I figured they would eat him for dinner! Seeing your pictures of them together maybe I will very carefully introduce them and see what happens
  21. I thought I would share what my little rascal gets up to around here..... and after she has played with them for a while!!!
  22. One of my greys is bonded to my husband, despite the fact that I spend more time with him than anyone. He is slowly, slowly coming round and will let me scratch him when my hubby is not around. But the second he even hears his Daddy, I am the worlds worst and he squeals for him. You can have a relationship with your baby but it will take time and lots and lots of patience!
  23. Please excuse the quality, these were taken with my phone! This is Liath in the garden last summer.
  24. Liath was about 1 when I got the harness. But I was already able to handle her anywhere, under her wings, her legs, tail anything at all. The first couple of times she definitely didnt like the idea of the harness, but once she discovered that the harness meant a new adventure she would wriggle to get into it. She even takes hold of the clip and tries to tighten it herself. Oisin isnt harness trained at all. I havent even tried him yet. Maybe this summer i will start....
