1. {Feel-good-0002006E} Good one beccy!
2. OK, good news! I ordered the cage that MrSpock showed me (the second picture). I can't wait for it to come in!!!!:woohoo: {Nature-00020086}
3. 1--Each person should tell how much their bird paid for them. Well, I gave Bernadette a deal and let her take me home for 7 bills. I figured my quest for World Domination would be much easier away from the confines of that blasted brooder and gigantic man that fed me. 2--Whether you were purchased from a private breeder or purchased from a pet shop. I escaped from a small bird cultivator. 3--Whether you were in a rescue and when you were adopted. From my understanding, Bernadette originally wanted a rescue bird, but they didn't have any and they told my person to talk the gigantic man about getting me...he's the best breeder in town. It was back on May 12 2007 that I made my break for it. 4--The age you were when your bird decided to let you live with him/her. She was and is the age of 22, and at that age I figured it would be much easier to over take her and gain control of the bedroom! I myself was 6 1/2 weeks old. 5--Whether you are being fed good food. I was fed by hand a delectable meal, but as a I got tired of that she gave me other goodies. I refused to eat these horrid fruity flavored nuggets and forced her to get me pellets with a more refined taste. Of course I refuse to even eat those if there is not a small garnishment of finch seed on top with a side dish of greens. I also make sure I get my cut of ANYTHING that she has! 6--Whether you feel that your owner has spoiled you. I wouldn't say she spoiled me...it's more like she is my indentured servant. 7--Whether you feel that your owner has treated you with respect. She knows what would happen if she didn't **moves wing under beak in a cut throat fashion** 8--Whether you think that your owner was overcharged. I know of birds that go for double the amount I allowed her to take me for...I was more than just a good deal, it was like manna from heaven kind of deal! 4. I think I already am...:pinch: You start getting younger and younger when all of a sudden you find yourself back in a uterus. I wish I had a good back again.
5. LOL...that’s funny. Are you going to make a lace doily for Nikko next? j/k That's really creative. I can't laugh, I spoil my baby too. I give him whatever he wants...with the exception of my cell phone, ipod, and car payment bill, although he already tore up one set of ear buds.

7. Dan - Yeah, I have the same cage with four finches in it right now, I was thinking if I got that cage I would reuse it for more breeder finches later on. The cage he is in now has the same bars, that’s why I didn't go ahead and get it because it could end up being like handing my grey a $100 bill for him to "eat". Dave sent me pictures of the cages he has for his greys that are the same model and they all seem to be in really good shape. There is one more that I saw online that I'm considering...it's 40 inches wide, which is the size I really want for him and it's in my price bracket but they have the shipping amount listed at $299.99...that’s double the cost that they have the cage itself listed as!!! It says further down on the page that it ships for 98 bucks so I sent them an e-mail asking them exactly what the shipping is. So it's between the Spock cage and the mystery-shipping cage. Trust me, I know that bigger is better (shut up Joe, I know your laughing) and that toys are a must and trust me has got more than he knows what to do with...mine just thinks he is in a Strong Man Competition or something. He must be arm wrestling with the cage.
8. Your different man of the week turns out to be Joe showing up in different costumes! LOL I wish I could get my man whipped!
9. You and me both Judy! And joe, Double the Hoes, Double the Clap! LOL Well, you eat all you want without gaining an ounce, but you eat so much that the septic tank blows! LOL I wish I could get a new job by Friday!

Post edited by: BMustee, at: 2007/10/10 19:41
10. He thinks he's something alright!
11. Your husband says "those four magic words", but then he goes on a shopping spree of his own...now all the checks have bounced! I wish I could get a Hyacinth Macaw for pennies on the dollar!
12. {Feel-good-0002006E} Mine seems to have a Napoleon complex with adults, but he knows there is nothing he can do when it comes to kids!
13. MrSpock sent me on ebay to look at this cage... Dimension: 32"Length x 23"Depth x 64"Height (Not Included Seed Guards) Cage only: 32"Length x 23"Depth x 42.5"Height (Not Included Seed Guards) Bar Spacing: 3/4" The one thing that I'm worried about is the gauge of the bars...thats why I have been thinking more of Mul. Cockatoo or macaw type cages because the bars are so much thicker. I don't want to spend a lot on a cage and end up in the same problem I'm in now. Has anyone else had the problem with bar breaking?
14. I'll have to give him one...he seems to like making noise in places that echo. I can just see him now in a box screaming and chattering away!
15. Duhhh...Dimensions would probably help. :silly: Bar Spacing 1/2" Overall Dimensions: 32"Wx21"Dx62"H Interior Dimension: 32"Wx21"Dx34"H
16. Not hard at all. I just held it in front of the bird and started touching my finger to the tip to let out water and then touched it to his beak...kinda like a Helen Keller type deal. He's never had a problem with it.
17. It is good to know the name...once I was thinking about it I was like "ummm, ok, what the heck is that?"
18. As you all know, My grey seems to be h*ll bent on world domination, and sense he learned how to escape from his cage by opening the door I started locking it using one of the hangers from an old toy. He was not able to figure out how to "pick" it so now he is breaking the bars off the top his cage in an Escape from Alcatraz attempt. I've started getting worried that he'll end up getting his head stuck in the hole or something so I need to get him a new cage ASAP. The cage he is in now is his transitional cage from the brooder...it was actually the cage I had my Conure in. I've been trying to save for a large cage for him but my hours at work got cut big time and I have been swamped in unexpected medical bills so I haven't been able to get the $500 together for the macaw sized cage I want to get him. I'm thinking about getting him the same cage that I have my breeder finches in because it's plenty big enough for him and it's affordable for my right now. I was thinking about getting another cage down the road for more finches so I would be able to use it after I get him the BIG cage. Would you guys take a look and let me know what you think of it and if this would be good for him for about 6 months or so. He is only in his cage while I'm at work, so the rest of the day he is with me or hanging out on the finch cage or in the bathroom on the shower rod...for some reason he loves it in there.

Post edited by: BMustee, at: 2007/10/10 17:56
19. I'm pretty sure he wasn't in that movie... Spartacus - Jean Simmons
20. Yeah, I can't believe how people can be. There is no way I could live with myself if I were to scam people like that. One of the guys I work with got one of those e-mail scams from Nigeria saying a relative of his owned an oil field and just died and he was the closest relative they could find. They wanted him to send a couple grand to them for the escrow fees and then they would send him the "millions" his relative was worth. He actually was thinking about doing it, so I told him about all the shows they have on 20/20 about the SAME exact scam…plus I was like, do you really believe that no one in your family would remember someone going over to Nigeria and owning oil?!?!?!
21. {Feel-good-0002006E} That is Hilarious Beccy...I can only imagine the thoughts that go through your birds head as it freaks over a feather coming out! You should get that on video!!!!
22. I have the water bottle for my grey and he seems to love it. I love it too because I don't have Grey soup in the water bowl. I switched to the bottle because my grey would not stop digging in the bedding at the bottom of the cage and within 10 minutes the water bowl would be full of woodchips. I'm pretty sure I have the Lixit brand, but any glass bottle would do for a grey as long as it is large enough.
23. I preen mine. He has some pin feathers on his crop area right now and he lets me go over them with my nails...I'm sure they are itchy. He won't let me pull down feathers though, I think he enjoys getting them out himself like you do.
