  7. Sorry i have never heard of them either. All i could find was this website http://www.mazuri.com/CagedBirds-Diets.htm?Animal=CagedBirds As you say from what i could find out was many zoos use them.
  8. Martin what a very sad story,i am so sorry for your loss & my thoughts are with you. A lesson has to be learnt from this tragic story,i for one will avoid feeding garlic to my greys.I always believed it to be safe in small quantities as many other foods we feed our greys. The only information i know is that garlic belongs to a family of plants that can cause anemia in some animals if given in large amounts for long periods of time. On reflection of this sad story & a little research i will now no longer feed garlic to my greys, please air on the side of caution if you are feeding garlic.
  9. Sorry William, didn't read your question correctly  My three greys have access to food at all times. They have a morning feed of soaked tropical fruit then i fill their dishes with a little seed & pulses for the day.In the evening they have a variety of food for dinner, mixed vegtables or perhaps mixed fruit, then again they have their seed in their bowls.None of mine overeat, they just eat when & what they want.

  20. my two boys are 8 1/2 months old.Their feet appeared to be much darker when they were younger but as they have grown their legs/feet are grey as you describe.Freddie also has some white toes.I'm not sure if its down to diet or just a natural occurrence as they grow.
  21. Welcome to the forum.look forward to hearing all about your baby.
