1. Welcome Amy and Poppet!! It's GreYt having you here and looking forward to hearing more from you. :-)
2. Welcome Yoyo's Mom and Yoyo!! It's GreYt having you here. :-) Those videos of YoYo are very entertaining, thanks for sharing them.
3. Whatever your Grey will eat pellet wise. ;-) You can get samples for free if you just call the companies that produce them and treats. Then you will be able to find the one your Grey will eat free of charge. It becomes rather expensive buying bags of food and end up giving them to other bird owners. :-)
4. Wonderful News!!!! Thanks for the update. :-)

8. You know Jan, I don't know how many times I have watched that video and it is always interesting to view. The "Best" idea I have in terms of what Tobie is doing, is he is using those blocks and paper as a food holder. So when he crunches into a pellets, the pieces are then caught by the block or paper and he can continue eating that pellet. Is it possible Tobie has some Jewish blood in him and he is saving money by not wasting food like most do? ;-) :-)

Post edited by: danmcq, at: 2009/07/14 15:31
9. It will take time and patience. Since a first experience that was bad has already taken place, it will now be harder and longer to get him to accept the harness. The best advice I can give is watch the DVD, then watch it again, then watch it again and do exactly as they tell you to introduce the harness. The biggest mistake most people make is they do not pay attention to the precautions they tell you about in getting your parrot introduced and familiar to the harness and all all the touching and movements that they must be used to before ever trying. Once they are used to the harness, there are times they will not want it on and that must be respected at that time and just don't take your bird out or try to harness them. If you do try anyway, a fight will be on and you may risk not being able to get it on again depending on how bad that experience goes. At a year old it is going to take a lot more time and patience than it does with a young 16 week old grey for example that is fairly compliant at that age.
10. Thanks again for all the prayers and positive thoughts for Chloe. My wife took her in yesterday afternoon for a dressing change. The results are that it was early stage two cancer. However, they GreYt news is that the lab results also show they got all the cancer cells by removing a large diameter around the growth. The vet did a good job on the surgery and the way he moved skin and fur from the head to the ear will heal with almost no noticeable scaring or bald spots. :-) Again, thanks for all your support and caring in this dramatic time!!
11. Nice having you here and what a cute baby Grey you have there. :-)
12. Welcome nluvwithmygrey!! It's GreYt having you here. :-) The photo strip of your baby is very nice and it looks like a healthy happy chick. Looking forward to hearing more from you. :-)
13. GreYt advice Penny. I did the same thing once when Dayo got a pen, but used a cotton swab. :-)
14. What a beautiful baby. Thanks for posting this photo. :-)
15. I Hope all is well. I assume the silence so far indicates your at the vets.
16. GreYt news on Peppers vet visit. I'll bet your feeling really good about how you've been taking care of her. :-) Thanks for sharing this.
17. Tigerlilly is very well spoken. I love the British accent. :-) Thanks for sharing these videos.
18. Your doing a GreYt job with Emma and doing exactly what is needed for them to use their intelligence to the fullest. Otherwise, they are just mimicking words and sounds.
19. I love that Aviary Sheila and I'll bet your Grey does too. :-)
20. Awww, very Cute. :-) Thanks for sharing this Sheila.
21. Happy Homecoming Anniversary Baxter!!!:-)
22. It's GreYt to hear Mischief is gaining flight again. :-) Please watch the DVD that comes with the Aviator Harness carefully and more than once. The first thing you need to do is get her used to the sight of the harness and the ability to touch her just about everywhere including lifting the wings. Just take it slowly until it all falls together. I she has a bad experience from the get go with the harness, it is unlikely you will ever be successful in getting near her again. But, the rewards for patience with this a greYt for your bird and you. :-)
23. I'm very sorry to hear you are going through this Pat. Hopefully they will find the root of the problem quickly and get you back to good health.
24. LOL!! Well, we all wanted intelligent talking birds didn't we? I find around here that those never ending verbal loops of the same phrase or word depends on whats happening or just happened as in Acappella's case. I vacuumed the bird area yesterday and all I heard from the time I brought it out was "Vacuum, lets Vacuum, vacuum, vacuum, vacuum, lets vacuum Yeah!" over and over until I did something to get that damn broken record out of his brain.... I asked, you wanna take a Both? he shut right up for a while. Perhaps it's not so wise after all to describe every action your doing.

Post edited by: danmcq, at: 2009/07/12 15:01
