  1. LOL - Dayo opens his everytime I take a bowl out, then does somersaults through the ring the bowl sits in. One note on the bowl rings, they are 4 inches in diameter and their is no chance of Dayo getting stuck. A macaw would, but not a Grey. I have forgotten once or twice to place the bowl back in and he's back out and flying in no time finding us.... These birds are just too smart sometimes for their own god.
  2. I'm with Talon, Amen we're prayig for a quick return.

  8. I like all the African names and their respective meanings. :-) Thats how we arrived at deciding on "Dayo - meaning "Joy has arrived". Which it truly did. Heres the link to the song on Youtube:
  9. If you don't have time for your 2 Poms, what makes you thing you have time for a Grey or any other Parrot for that matter? It seems to me that the Grey would then be neglected. Most people only give up a Grey due to very extenuating circumstances such as time limitations as you are experiencing. I doubt any Grey owner would consider this.

  24. Welcome Robin!! It's GreYt having you here. :-) I would just buy a cage online once you decide you are definitely going to get a Gray. It will be cheaper and done right with all the necessary access doors, food cups, bottom grate and tray etc. It will probably also be cheaper and save a lot of cussing on your husbands part trying to build it. :-) Looking forward to hearing more from you.
  25. Jesus, what a roller coaster reading this through! I am glad you got it sorted out, hubby stepped up with a little different perspective and solution to the dilemma. I am so happy to hear it is going to be a win-win-win-win-win all the way around. :-)
