A man goes to his priest and says, "Father, I don't know what to do, I've done every thing and tried everything to lose weight but I can't" I feel horrible. The Priest replies, "Son, don't worry I will help you if this is truly what you want". The man says, "yes, father, I will do anything." The Priest then says, "Come Monday morning be ready to start". Monday morning comes and there is the door bell rings. The man opens the door in his workout clothes. He finds a beautiful woman in short shorts that tells him, "Father John sent me and he said if you can catch me you can have me". The man gets really excited and runs after her. Every day for the next few months the beautiful woman appears at his door and he runs to catch her. Finally one day the man gets up and stretches and he feels that this is the day. He is finally going to have her. He has lost weight and he is strong. As usual, the door bell rings. Very excited he opens the door. There he finds standing a very large woman. She says, "Father John sent me and he said if I can catch you I can have you".

Nursery School Teacher A nursery school teacher says to the class, 'Who can use the word 'Definitely' in a sentence?' First little girl says 'The sky is definitely blue' Teacher says, 'Sorry, Amy, but the sky can be grey, or orange...' Second little boy...'Trees are definitely green' 'Sorry, but in the autumn, the trees are brown...' Little Johnny from the back of the class stands up and asks.. 'Does a fart have lumps?' The teacher looks horrified and says...'Johnny! Of course not!!!' 'OK... then I have DEFINITELY shit in my pants...'

Hi Greta, Do you live in Chapala? I was born in Guadalajara and my grand parents used to take us to Chapala almost every weekend when I was a little girl. I've been a member of this forum since May or June of 2007 but have been too sick to post in the last 6 months. Rae

A man is standing inside a crowded bus. Behind him a woman starts spraying perfume on herself. The man is overwhelmed with the smell and the fumes of her perfume and can't stop coughing. He turns back and looks at her. The woman says, "Perfume de Paris $100 dollars a bottle". A few minutes go by and the woman starts gagging and starting to throw up. The man turns around again and says to her, "Pinto beans .29 cents a pound.

Post edited by: raehamilton, at: 2008/02/19 02:28

I tried spraying Angie with Aloe Vera and she started making so much noises. She was MAD. She attacked the sprayer and bit it. She did not like it. She had never bitten anyone and she started biting all of us. I tried spraying her again while in the shower and she didn't seem to mind it. The problem is that the Aloe is now being diluted by the water from the shower. I'd rather Angie continue to pluck than for her to become a biter. I will try it again but if she bites I won't do it any more. Did any of you have this experience? If I mentioned this before I am sorry. My memory is not that great.

Here are some pictures of what Angie looks like right now. She looked worse but since I've been showering her more often and feeding her Harrison's High Potency Pellets she has improved a little. She is still plucking though but not as bad as before. Also, does anyone have any suggestions on how I train her to go potty in one place. Every time I take her out of the cage to walk around with me she goes potty. When she sits next to me on my desk I have to line it up with paper because she potties soooooooooo much.

Post edited by: raehamilton, at: 2008/02/17 02:51

Can I feed Angie plain Yogurt?
-
I do have to appologize to everyone. I should have gone one subject down from to the Food forum and looked through it before asking for help on what food to feed Angie. I am sure others have done it when the subject matter is in front of you and you still ask that question. Is like the guy in the cave. 5 years ago we were at Mammoth Caves in Kentucky taking a tour to the bottom of one of the caves. We came to an auditorium that was man made. The guide had just told us how far below the earth we were and not 30 seconds passed when the man in the front row asked, "Excused me how far below the earth are we?". That is how I feel right now. As I mentioned my neighbor gave me a 1/2 cup of Harrison's High Potency Pellets and I have been giving a little bit of it for the last 2 or 3 days to Angie along with people food. I also gave her a shower early in the week and all of a sudden she has some down feathers coming out. I can tell she is still plucking but she looks better than before. I will take a picture of her and post it. Thank you for all the advise and help. There are times when there is no smile and no personality to see between the lines and it's hard for me to accept that I may have to give up Angie. It is not easy to accept it when someone thinks or may think that I am giving her up because I don't care about her. She is so sweet.

LisaM, No offense taken at all. Thank you for the information. By all means I don't only feed her cheese, spagetti and fruit. Some times in writing a post I don't often get all in. I really appreciate the way you put it, honest. I love the way JudyGram gave me an answer without judging me, not trying to say that you are judging me. If someone here is ignorant enough to think that pellet food provides everything a CAG needs well then I am sorry. You and others obviously know that people food can be given to our babies. Whether or not I am changing her food is none of anyone's business. There is one thing asking nicely why I made that choice and another to insult someone for making a choice between feeding my kids and feeding my parrot special food when I can supplement it with what I already have at home. This is something very personal that I didn't need and didn't feel the need to post in order to get help. If a person can't say something nice or help then they shouldn't say anything at all. GOD forbid those ignorant people are someday in the same position that I am today. Thanks again.

Thank you all. Well then I guess I should start looking to rehome her. I wonder how they survive in the wild.

Post edited by: raehamilton, at: 2008/02/16 03:09

Hi all, This month Angie turns 1 year old. Also, I have stopped feeding Angie her Parrot food and have been feeding her cups of fruit, spagetti, cheese, I get a cup of frozen vegetables and warm them up and feed them to her, tomatoes etc. Is this going to be bad for her? Can anyone give me some suggestions as to what other foods to give her I would greatly appreciate it?

Post edited by: raehamilton, at: 2008/02/14 12:26

How many people have TAG's and How many have CAG's
raehamilton replied to Ronda477's topic in The GREY Lounge
Hi, My Angie is a CAG. -
I don't think that Angie wanting to walk on the floor is the cause of her plucking. Her plucking came first. I really think the plucking came after I left Angie at the Breeder's house. Thank you for all your great advise.

Thank you so much for all the advise. I noticed that there is one thing that Angie loves to do but I can't always let her do it and she gets upset. When I open her cage for her to get out and play on her playpen she rushes to climb down to the floor. I've never seen anyone move as fast as she does. She loves being on the floor but unless I am watching her closely she is not allowed. This makes her mad. I've tried to keep her occupied in other ways but she will not have it. She insist on being on the floor.

Judygram, I don't plan to give her up. My feeling is that I am a bad mama to her and she would probably be better off with a better parent. I just want her to be happy. I am going to create some forage for her with the dixie cups. I've been reading all the post on plucking for the past 2 hours. I saw the picture of Max and felt so bad. Angie hasn't plucked her red feather and I hope she doesn't. Thank you so much for all the advise.

Christina, She had already started plucking very bad before I got sick. I haven't had financial problems until the last 3 weeks. After being sick for so long the money in reserve ran out. I noticed she started plucking after a visit to her old breeder. I had to go out of town one day and left her with the breeder for a week. When I got back to pick her up she had started plucking her neck and got worse. The breeder's husband was playing with her very rough. He had her standing on a pencil and then would make her balance on it while he was flipping it in circles. He also grabbed her like a ball and slide her on the linoleum floor. His wife was very upset that he did that and told me about it. It didn't help that on the same visit her wings were cut too short and she also clipped one of her nails too short and made it bleed. You can be sure I never took Angie there again.

Post edited by: raehamilton, at: 2008/01/21 16:43
