  1. Translation, please, I don't speak spanish.:laugh: :blink: :whistle: :laugh:
  2. You've got a naughty little fellow there, Lidia, and a cute one too, thanks for sharing those pics with us.:laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:
  3. P E T A... People Eating Tasty Animals.{Nature-00020096}
  4. Sampson, we still need more information and for you to clarify some of what you did give us to be able to help you and I think we can help. The more we know the better chance we will be able to answer your questions.
  5. And you being the sucker you are had to take both of them, Dan, Dan, Dan, men never learn do they! I'm just kidding, wow you are going to take both of them, I am so glad you have it in your heart to take them both, what a lucky female. Of course she knew what she was doing, she saw the opportunity and worked it well and you fell for it, hook, line and sinker.:lol: Congrats Dan, on bringing home Dayo and the female, oh I get it, now you don't have to share Dayo with your wife, you each have one to hold at the same time.:laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:
  6. Kitty, you will be able to write a book on greys when you finish here on this forum, you are getting lots of useful information and should know everything you need to know before the time comes when you do actually get that grey. Kitty, that book, "For the Love of Greys" is available on line at several sites and at lower than cover price, so check them out, this particular book is one of the best ones on greys.
  7. Well good, Greylover, sometimes we just have to give them a little time to get over being left, all greys react differently to their bonded ones absence, but now the love is back and all is well. Wish it could all be that way but sometimes its not.:ohmy:
  8. Oh, this last one is the best yet, Pryde, I love this look of her, keep em coming.
  9. Well you had to outdo yourself, didn't you Dan, bringing home not only Dayo, but a female too. One wasn't enough for you, since Dayo is favoring Kim and the female is probably favoring you or you want it too. For crying out loud, Dan, you crack me up, I hope you know what you are getting into, but don't keep us in suspense and let us know how it goes thru this transitional period.{Emotions-00020070}
  10. Sherry, is she showing any other symptoms besides the spitting up food and sneezing. I think a vet visit is in order, but it could be she is reguritating for you and maybe mimicing the sneezing from the foster home she was in while she went missing. This is my guess, but a vet visit would rule out anything physical like an infection, bug or something else. Keep us informed as to what happens, we are concerned about your grey.
  11. Very good, TalonSis, you are a multi-talented girl, aren't you.
  12. Well put, Michael. They eyes do start out at black but end up as yellow, good way to tell if you have a young bird.
  13. Yeah just hang in there, he is pissed you were gone but give him a little time and he will come around. Dan, sometimes time does not heal broken hearts, it is something you just have to live with.
  14. Connie, the eyes turn from black to grey to yellow, light yellow eyes are of a mature grey.
  15. 11 weeks, thats a long time to wait for a kitten, I have never waited longer than 8 weeks. Does that wait have anything to do with it being a Maine Coon?
  16. He is repeating what he has heard you say, but maybe he was asking you that question. Sounds like you are making progress, but it will take time so don't rush it, be very patient.:whistle:
  17. Fresh, frozen, canned or blanched, I don't think it makes any difference.:whistle:

    Joey, the little love bug, thats cute, Tari.
  19. I agree with Lidia, you don't want to spend so much time with her that you cannot keep that up in the future, it could cause behavior problems. They have to be able to be by themselves part of the time.
  20. Cindy, we would still like to know why they were selling the grey, please update us on this information if you possibly can.:huh:
  21. How could anyone not love it here, we are a nice bunch of grey lovers who care about each other and love to help each other in any way we can. Whats not to love.
  22. If you are going to have a grey, you have to be prepared to take a bite, so to speak. They like to assert their independence and they can do that by biting and if you show fear by pulling away, they win. Just be nice but firm and go for it, and I bet the biting will stop. Greys are highly intelligent creatures so don't underestimate them.
  23. Gosh, MrSpock, I didn't mean to annoy your greys, and in the middle of a nap too, shame on me. You are a wealth of information having had greys for many years in all forms of ownership, the stories you could tell, you will have to share some of them with us. I love the wood carvings and the way you have them displayed in their room, how original and colorful they look there on the wall. Thanks for sharing these with us. :)
  24. Hello, Timbo, and welcome to the family, glad you joined. There is not much you can do with the tail feathers if she is very active, she is damaging them with her activity. I wouldn't worry about it, if she is happy and healthy, a beautiful tail is not the worst thing that could happen. They will eventually molt out but if she stays very active and climbing all around the cage just be glad she is able to do as she pleases. Why don't you introduce yourself in the Welcome Room and tell us a little about your grey, age, name and so forth, and a picture would be very appreciated.
  25. A lot of avian vets recommend the Harrison's pellets and they are an organic blend, they cost a little more than other brands but I think it is worth it if it is so highly recommended.
