  6. Hello Donna and welcome to the family, so glad you decided to join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Bailey. May I ask the name of the breeder you got your grey from as I live in Virginia, maybe I know of them? I hear ya, you are owned by Bailey, a lot of us feel like we are our grey's slaves, we do most anything to make them happy and buy whatever it takes to keep them contented and safe. But we wouldn't trade it for all the gold in China, they are priceless in our eyes. Take a little time and read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions you may have, we will do our best to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. If you have some pictures of Bailey you would like to share with us we would love to see him.
  7. No need to feel gay Johnny, the women here just love you men:kiss:
  8. That shows a lot of maturity to admit you cannot handle the responsibility of a parrot right now and you have made a wise choice to wait until you are out of school and out on your own before committing yourself to a lifetime responsibility. You have done your homework and I commend you for doing that, you will make some grey a great momma in the future.
  9. Thanks Johnny, a good one you got there!!!:laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:
  10. The heck with birdie lasagna, Josey loves the real stuff, she will dive in and eat it about as good as she will spaghetti, loves the stuff.
  11. Hello Tina and welcome to the family, so glad you decided to join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your new Cag. Isn't it wonderful when you finally realize a dream you have had for a long time and I am so happy you have yours. You already know what an amazing creature they are and you have made a lifetime committment to this new little bundle of grey feathers. Take a little time and read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions you may have, we will do our best to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. If you have some pictures of your new baby you would like to share with us we would love to see it. BTW, what is his name?
  12. I agree with Dan, it might be some kind of deficiency in her diet but in any case a vet visit might be in order expecially if it has been a while since Bella has seen one.

    BITES

    Well 7 weeks is not long enough to gain the complete trust of a 3 year old grey, it takes lots of time and patience when working with an older grey. But one thing is for sure, as long as he acts this way I would not allow him on your shoulder as he could do some serious damage to your face. I would follow Siobhan's advice to tell him no when he bites and put him back on his playstand or back in the cage and turn your back and ignore him for a bit then try it again. He will eventually learn that is not acceptable to bite and he gets ignored for doing it, they hate to be ignored. Give him some more time and see if things don't improve.
  14. Happy Birthday Jimmy, wow 21 years old, to you it sounds so old as you are now legal but you are still so young, hope you had a great day!!:kiss: Love the pics of Cosmo, he is eating up those neck scratches, thanks for sharing them with us.
  15. Heather, anyone can look at your avatar and see that you know your stuff when it comes to taking photos, that is so good, I love that pose of Harrison, I think it is suitable for framing, btw did you blow that one up and frame it?
  16. Well these two women, Lovemygreys and Parrotlady know their stuff, they have lots of experience with baby greys, you won't find any better than the two of them.
  17. Hello Pepper and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us but I wish it had been under happier circumstances. I am so sorry to hear of your loss, my heart goes out to you right now, but you did have some happy years with Pepper and I am sure she enriched your life as much as you did hers. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers that your grief and pain be eased in time. Do you think you will be getting another grey? Do you have any other birds? It is too soon to make a decision whether or not to get another one but I hope one day you can open your heart to another one. Even if you don't get a baby, there are lots of birds even greys in need of new homes and if you could consider one of them that would be wonderful. Again please accept my condolenses for your loss.
  18. That is just precious looking Siobhan, they look so contented there, I'm so glad they get along so well, thanks for sharing that with us, I love that pic. Maybe you should consider having that blown up and framed.
  19. They have went up some in price since I bought mine but then I have had mine for more than 2 years so with inflation it would be more. I think Obi will enjoy it and she can even have a snack and water with her too. Its a snap to put together, I put mine together all by myself.:cheer:
  20. Yes we are worth it, every penny of it, thanks Dan for knowing when you are whipped but we love you for it. {Love-000200BF}
  21. Dan it doesn't work for men, just us women:lol: :whistle:
  22. I knew that was the case Siobhan, and thats what I always do, go ahead and get it and then break the news, works every time.
  23. Yeah we know how that can be, sometimes they just don't want to cooperate, maybe try giving him a favorite treat so he will be a little more still for the camera, good luck:S
  24. Good to see you back Jimmy, we have missed you but we know you have other obligations so join us when you can and thanks for sharing the video of Cosmo, I did enjoy it. Glad to hear he is doing great, now don't stay away so long ok:P B)
