Hello Amanda and welcome to the family, so glad you decided to join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and these two greys. So one isn't enough you are getting two, one of each sex, you lucky thing you as most of us only have one but we do have one member with 10 pet greys. Do you have any other birds or pets? So you are looking for names that go with each other, you have some good ones picked out, how about Sonny and Cher, thats about all I can think of at the moment. Take a little time and read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions you may have, we will do our best to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. If you have some pictures or as soon as you do get some pics of them you would like to share with us we would love to see them.

What a ham Harrison is, she is full of herself isn't she, thanks so much for sharing these with us, my favorite is the last one, she certainly loves the camera and it her:P :cheer:

Yes time and lots of patience is what wins with greys and Tracy has given you some excellent advice. Why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us a little more about you and Honey.

I don't see a problem with it, I feed Josey her morning oatmeal with baby food but with a spoon and she kind of does the head bobbing thing to get the stuff off the spoon and she is going on 2 years old next month.B)

Thats perfectly normal Spence, they flush pink sometimes, she was pleased about something I guess. Spence you can let her have a lot of what you are having for dinner, just remember the things they aren't supposed to have, Josey eats off my plate too. In fact tonight I had some baked chicken and when I finished with the thigh bone I gave it to her and she devoured it, took it apart to get to the marrow inside. She wants whatever you are eating so share it with her and if you are eating something that is a no no for her do it where she can't see you eating it.:laugh:

No I don't know of them but thanks for the answer Donna, now I know of another source for a possible future bird.

Josey still does the scratching at newspapers, I think it is mostly an attention getter and its working too.:blush: :laugh: :whistle:

Now that you mention that I have observed the same thing, I guess it has something to do with being less conscious of their body and paying more attention to the shower, good for you Siobhan, you have a sharp eye.

Nothing is going to keep you from thinking of Pepper but time and in time the tears will lessen then cease. I know your pain, I have been thru it many times with past pets of mine and I recently lost my cat of 18 years. I know the days are dark with grief but this will pass and please don't say you will never get another grey for that would be the best way to honor Pepper,by getting another grey, not to take her place but because you have a lot of love to give. Take some time and grieve for Pepper then reconsider your decision to never get another grey.

Thats a wise decision to take Bella in for a vet visit and please let us know what you find out. BTW, love your avatar, clever!!!:laugh:
