  1. Mary here is one link to a story about a lost budgie that found a new home: http://www.greyforums.net/forums/other-birds/28315-budgie-surprise.html
  2. I wouldn't blame yourself for what is wrong with her, it could be that part of it is her age and problems that come on with some age and you can't force her to eat the things she should be eating, all you can do is offer them to her. Don't berate yourself for what is not your fault since you have only had her for 5 years and her problem may have resulted from something that started long before you inherited her.
  3. Her trouble may very well be neurological with her age and all but I hope something can be done for her. I would leave her perches low in the cage and maybe invest in a smaller cage that is not so tall but wider. I would use newspapers in the bottom of the cage, corn cob bedding tends to have some dust associated with it and we are advised not use it for lining the tray. I don't have any other suggestions but maybe some of the other members will have some more ideas for you. In the meantime I hope they find out what is her problem and maybe it can be fixed but in any case keep us informed.
  4. I will keep Tobie in my thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery to whatever is not quite right with him, and Bettyboop has given you some good ideas and suggestions for getting him to eat. No need to freak out but you are in good company here for we know how you feel, only someone who loves their birds can know that.
  5. Yeah Tari that would probably work for all birds from the grey on down, neat idea for we all have old T-shirts in our closets, thanks for sharing that link with us.... B)
  6. Thanks for the update Carol and even a little good news is encouraging as Bobby fights for his life. I hope that whatever his problem is that he gets what he needs to make him better so he can come home to his family who misses him so much. I know you want to see him very badly but the vet has Bobby's best interests at heart and if he thinks it is best to stay away then you must respect his decision. I will continue to keep Bobby in my thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery and prayers are answered every day for we have faith. Keep your chin up Carol.
  7. I love that movie and Gizmo waas the sweetest of all the little gremlins.
  8. I know the feeling, I was once in your shoes and this place looked like I would never get the hang of it but I did and boy did I as I have over 10000 posts now and I haven't even been here a full year yet, if I can do it then anyone can.
  9. Ashley here is the link to that thread where a contest is going on, why don't you enter a pic.... http://www.greyforums.net/forums/other-birds/75369-new-contest-wet-bird.html#75691
  10. No Mary this is not due to Harrison's pellets, you can switch your birds over to it safely as I feed Harrisons to mine also.
  11. Thats cute as a button and of course my favorite one with this pic was "I'm too sexy for my binky!" you did a good job Tari. B)
  12. These are your breeder birds aren't they Tracy? {Emotions-000200C1}
  13. Look for either powder coated or stainless steel cages.
  14. Fal she has other birds besides her 4 greys but wow that is a lot of seeds.
  15. I would think he should be going into the cage about now or very soon especially when he starts wanting to perch, nothing to climb on in an aquarium, but Tracy will know about that.
  16. Jessica, once you get this matter settled you can introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us a little about you and your new grey baby.

I hope Dan is not offended by my remark because it is the truth, I don't lie:laugh:  :woohoo: B)
  18. You don't really have to call him/her anything but bird, he/she will be so busy getting used to the new home and all to learn a name. Besides you won't be the first to not name your grey right off the bat, a few members here waited months before coming up with a name for their's. There will be plenty of time for it to learn it's name once its chosen.

  20. Don't you just love the shortcuts for internet and cell phone texting!!!!
  21. Oh boy, more birds for me to see when I come over for that visit. BTW, do you heat it in the wintertime?
  22. Well that is one thing going for him, he did make it thru another night, he is a fighter for sure. I can't imagine what you are going thru, but I have been thru similar situations but it is never easy, the waiting is horrendous. I pray that Bobby has the strength to endure the tests and the treatments necessary to save his life and I will continue to keep him in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. Thanks so much Carol for keeping us updated, I was just wondering if there was any more news just a little while before you posted an update. I almost feel like it is a member of my own flock, he has become a special member here. Bless you Carol for your love for Bobby, he is blessed for it.
  23. Just look at all those tiels and budgies you have there Tracy, I forget sometimes that you have some smaller birds than the 4 greys you have. Looks like they are outside, do they stay outside all the time or is this just their daytime play area? Thanks for sharing them with us Tracy, I love them all.
  24. Thanks for the wonderful pictures of the playstand you made, you did a really good job with it and you brag all you want, you should be very proud of yourself and Athena is loving it too. B)
  25. Me either Dan, learn something new every day here on this forum. Bronxboomer, don't stay away for so long next time.B)
