Charlie is a looker for sure, a very handsome guy and suitable for framing in my opinion, thanks for sharing it with us and thanks Caroline for helping her. B)
Yes a little meat, especially chicken in moderation is fine for your grey.
I am so excited for you, bringing Paco home tomorrow, you won't sleep tonight but please let us know how it goes and post some pictures when you can.
I can laugh at you or with you, take your pick but remember we all take poop removal very seriously and I don't mean crap either:woohoo:   :silly:
I never hear a peep out of Josey after I cover her for the night until I uncover her in the morning, so never fear you will still have your quiet nights. Her cage is also in the family room where we are still up and the TV is on but she goes on to sleep.
Let me get my depends on first, :pinch:   ok done, allright I have quit laughing now.
Yes as you have discovered plain water works just as well for removing poops, even dried on poops, Poop Off just smells better or you can use white vinegar and water, works just as well.
Like Jim said, that is characteristic of the grey to stand on one foot to rest the other one, I guess I would too as they have a fairly heavy body to be held up so therefore they rest one from time to time, all normal.
Maybe you should read more of the threads here for there may be other things you will find out is normal for greys but thanks for being curious.
He wasn't the man for you anyways if he didn't want you to have your grey so glad to hear your dream will finally be realized, looking forward to hearing more about you getting your grey.
Well we haven't seen you for a while, welcome back to the forum, I cannot help you with breeders as I am in the USA but maybe some of our UK members will be of some help to you.
Don't stay away so long ya hear:whistle:
I am looking at the sun shining so pretty now after we had a couple of inches of snow this morning early, was very surprised but delighted, was 29 here on my way to work.
Wish I was at home with my birdies but I did bring the little squirt, Sunny with me yesterday and she sat on my shoulder most of the day while I tapped away on the computer.
Wow Roger, how exciting is that, I have wanted to do just that for a long time now, too bad when I come to Florida next month I won't be able to visit this preserve but I will certainly keep it in mind for a future visit, thanks for sharing it with us.
Congrats Dan, you are the man to be there to help us out when we need it, in fact I hope you have to work your butt off if you catch my drift:lol:
Keep up the good work Dan, love ya man.
Well he is still a baby and he is going to make some noises while he adjusts to his new home but I don't think he is crying. He is always going to make some chirping and other noises from time to time, just be patient with him and as long as he is eating and holding his weight he is doing just fine.
I say go with cage 2, it is similar to one I have and I love the playtop on one side like that and mine only has one door so it does not have the divider and it is hard to get to things on the other end.
The play area may be smaller on the split level one but it isn't as high up as the other one, you know how height makes a difference to greys.
Hello Jhhuhma and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your new baby grey. Have you named him yet?
Was your baby grey weaned before you brought him home? Breeders are not supposed to sell unweaned babies but he is partially right about the shoulder sitting. Some greys do feel more superior when shoulder sitting but it depends on the individual grey, I do allow my grey on my shoulder but I have no problem with getting her to come down when I ask. It really is a personal preference, if you don't feel comfortable with him on your shoulder then don't do it.
I think you will benefit greatly by reading thru the many threads especially the nursery room where you will find lots of information about the babies and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can.
If you have some pictures of your baby grey you would like to share with us we would love to see them.
