Hello Vince and welcome to the family, so glad you decided to join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Henry. A month is just a time frame, it could happen sooner or take much longer, it depends on how quickly he gets comfortable with you to trust you and you have to earn that trust so be patient because it will happen but when he is ready for it. He is a good looking grey from the pictures you so kindly shared with us, most of the time we have to ask for pics, he looks like they typical grey hanging down from the top of the cage. You will find lots of useful information in our many threads so do read thru them and ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can.

Hello Bonek and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Bonek. You have only had him 3 days and that is not near enough time for him to settle in and feel comfortable and greys are real cautious of anything new or different and that includes you so be patient with him and he will settle in and then you will find out how much he will allow if any for you to touch him. He is biting you out of fear and he can't tell you to back off, he has to bite you to get his message across and you need to respect that, he will let you know when you can go for more from him. You will find lots of useful information here in our many threads so do read thru them at your leisure and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. We just love pictures here so if you have any of Bonek you would share with us we would love to see them.

Now that you mention that I do remember you had a post about finding out that Ben is indeed a girl, sorry, I will try better in the future but it is hard to keep up with everyone's bird here with so many members.:blush:

Those are wonderful pictures, that first one is good enough for framing, Ben is one handsome grey, thanks for sharing them with us.

Hello Majikboxman and welcome to our family, just wanted to say hi and we are so glad you could join us. My Josey is going on three years of age now and she is a really sweet bird, I got her at about 4 months of age, fully weaned and clipped, I won't be clipping her again. Please read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. You can always record it on video and let us judge who is the best "barker":S now that would be a hoot!!

Koko is just doing what comes naturally and that is chew on anything she finds, you need to find other things to keep her occupied or come up with a solution to cover the wires in something she either can't chew thru or get to. Birds love to chew and if you don't provide other opportunities for suitable objects then she is going for whatever is handy.

Carol I hope you really do consider telling the breeder not to clip the baby's wings, Dave is so right about your baby being more confident and for their own well being. My Josey's wings were clipped before I brought her home and I regret it now as hers have not fully come in yet and she is close to being 3 years old. I don't think they were properly clipped and I didn't know any better at the time so I didn't try to prevent it but if I could do it over again I would not clip. Dave knows what he is talking about as he has pet and breeder grays, he has lots more experience with this than I do and I trust him to tell me the truth.

With all the toys and things you make for him I am sure he feels like he won the lottery too, he is one lucky grey.

Hello Jake and welcome to the family, congrats on becoming a first time grey owner, I know you are going to love having one and we love having you here with us. So you don't have a camera ham huh, some of the greys here are and we get some of the cutest pictures but thats ok, we will take what we get. What other kind of birds have you had and do you still have other birds at this time? Please read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can.

Of course they are quiet, they want to hear all that is going on and are storing it in their little walnut sized brain for later use. :laugh: B)

OMG, he was missing for 8 days and you got him back, you were darn lucky as so many have not, thanks for the reminder that when doors are left open as when moving furniture our fids need to be closed up in their cages for their own safety.

You have such wonderful ideas for toys, I bet Josey would go for something like that, thanks for the idea and sharing it with us.

Oh I want one, those are so adorable and watching them move and react is so much better than just still pictures, congrats on finding another breeder and keeping us informed. I had my hubby build one out of pvc for Josey but it is no where as elaborate as Ajax's, you are very creative and he is one lucky grey to have you for a mom, thanks for sharing that with us.
