  1. Share what you have ok! Cellphones really do not like water you know:whistle:
  2. I'm glad someone has a grey that loves the water, you will have to get us a pic of Ecko enjoying himself in the shower.
  3. Marie that is terrible news, I hope they are gonna do something for the other children in his class as they all have been exposed to the two kids who were confirmed with swine flu. I know that they have determined that it is not as bad as was first expected but this is still serious stuff. Let us know what if anything the school is doing about this.
  4. I know how you feel Caroline but you can't help every grey you see in need of a good home, I know you would provide a good one but you would have your hands full with this one. Poor thing, how people can treat these precious animals this way but hopefully Tully will get a good home soon.
  5. That is so cute, "Speak to the talon" Spock seems to be conveying with that posture, thanks for sharing that with us.
  6. Hi Pinky, yes coconut shells make great toys for greys, you will find them used in bird toys found in pet shops, of course you can make toys yourself if you are so inclined. Congrats on getting your first grey and when you get the time why don't you officially introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us some more about you and this grey you are getting.
  7. Sterling is a good looking Utoo, what a handsome fella he is, thanks for sharing him with us and sounds like things are off to a good start.
  8. You have a real cutie there, Milo is so adorable and they are so cuddly at this age. He is tasting you when he is licking your arms.
  9. It's a boy, congrats on Slater being a boy and I know Saturday won't come soon enough, you have a cutie there, thanks for sharing that pic with us.
  10. Aww come on Dan, you are exaggerating a little, "hell on wheels" I don't think so, Dayo is a sweetie.
  11. What a cute little kitten, thanks Michelle for sharing a couple of pics of the as yet unnamed little ball of fluff.
  12. Hello Debbie and welcome to our family, we are so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Riley and the fids. You sound like you have your hands full, never a dull moment when you have fids in the house but they bring so much joy to our lives it is well worth it. I commend you for taking in rehomed birds, we have so many that are in need of homes and when someone can open their home and heart for them then my hat is off to you so to speak. You will find lots of useful information in our many threads and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. You must have recognized that we love pictures here and provided some of your fids, they are a lovely bunch, thanks for including them in your opening post.
  13. Is the cup plastic, if so it is ok for him to tear up, now the remote is another thing, if you could get your hands on some old unused ones that he could tear up at his hearts content for I know you don't want him doing that to the one you need to use. I see this is your first post, why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us a little more about you and Buster, he sounds like a delight.
  14. Put some 100% aloe vera jel on that, you can find it in Walmart with the sunscreen products, its safe to use even if she would ingest it, it will soothe her bare skin.
  15. Spock you are something else and your pictures are always welcome here, hey can you teach Josey to go over on her back like that!
  16. TuffGuy is growing in leaps and bounds, he sure is looking good, a real sweetie, thanks for sharing some more pics of him.
  17. They are adorable, of course I am partial to suns because I have one, sometimes Sunny will come down from my shoulder when I am doing something in the sink but the only time she ever got in the water was when I was washing up some dishes and she plopped in, good thing the water wasn't hot but she was partially buoyed by the suds, I rinsed her off and she stayed put on my shoulder after that. Thanks for sharing that picture with us.

    changing diet

I doubt the spray you got to help prevent plucking will work so you might as well return it and get your money back. I know people like you are describing and don't give them a second's thought, they are not bird people and will never understand so save your breath, we on the other hand do understand and you are in good company here.
  19. Kiki is a great looking Utoo, fully feathered and healthy looking, thanks for sharing a picture of her, now how is she doing, about the same or any improvement?
  20. Congrats on your new too, Sterling, I hope he makes a wonderful addition to your family and everything go well for you. I won't add anything as I have no experience with toos and the others have already given you some sound advice. Some pictures would be nice though.
  21. That was a cool video of Jacko, he does an amazing cough and that phone ringing is just like the real thing, thanks for sharing that with us.
  22. Those are some great pictures Dan, I think Dayo might be liking the camera after all, I love that last one of him, like a baby swadled in a blanket, thanks for sharing these with us and making a story out of it.
  23. Maybe she wants you to pay attention to her and not watch TV, she may view the TV as competition for your attention and she is making that known the only way she knows how. Why don't you take her out of her cage and have her sit with you when you watch TV, that way she will be there with you? She is biting the cage because she wants out of it to be with you, she is a social animal and wants to be with the rest of the flock.
  24. Kathy, you can look for breeders by state at these websites: www.avianbiotech.com www.birdbreeeders.com
  25. It has rained here all day today, I think it started sometime last night but it is a good steady soaking rain, just what we needed as we were getting a bit dry.
